Thanks!

Arrows is still pondering that 7+ minute, 95 yard, 4th quarter drive when WMU didn't even attempt a pass.

He's also thinking about how WMU has beaten CMU three consecutive years, five of the last six years, and three consecutive games in Kelly Shorts (now known as Waldo North).

Finally, he's frustrated this current group of CMU players and coaches have added NOTHING to CMU's esteemed trophy case (of course they enjoy taking credit for the accomplishments of their predecessors). Meanwhile, the Cannon Trophy looks at home in Kalamazoo, where it belongs.

May I add; wondering why all those diamond-in-the-rough recruits did not perform well.

Congrats on the win (aka your Super Bowl) Saturday. A statement was made for sure. Rivalries are fun when both teams are good and the games have meaning, and this year's matchup fits that criteria. Sucks to get our s--t served to us, but I would remind you that this is year 2 for Bono and year 4 for Cap'n Commodore. I don't think the two will meet again in this rivalry - probably good news for us.

I'd wish you good luck with what amounts to a one game season for you, but we all know that would be a load of bs. The gloating here is understandable, but you have bigger fish to fry. You haven't won anything yet.

Think about it, if scUM gets beat somewhere along the way maybe you can lock horns with them in a bowl game. THEN I'd be rooting for you.

Arrow - it was your Super Bowl, too.

I'll root for CMU in every game other than ours (or games that affect our standing). A good CMU is better for the rivalry, and when both of us are good it is better for the MAC.

Bingo!

Good post!

Arrows, thanks for coming over to respond and graciously take some heat.

Best wishes the remainder of your season and may CMU forever lose those horrible yellow helmets and pants. 04-cheers

And the last year for Pooper Rush. Year 2 for Cap'n Commodore was an 8W team, and we didn't have an awesome senior QB at the helm at the time. At 1-11 we played you guys tough in Fleck's 1st year.

You guys have a good coach. We just had a better team all-around.

And it was your Super Bowl more than it was for us. We have a championship to chase and a potential undefeated season (relatively small but not minute chance).

RE: arrows80?
Think it's more the QB than the coach. Both teams lose good senior QBs after this year. Most of those good QBs were good their junior year too (same with our Harnish and Lynch). Fleck will be smart to get out after this year if he gets an offer, despite the level of talent at other positions (not even counting the extra money he'd make, of course).
