Which one is the transfer from BYU? Manning or Winchester?

Manning transferred from Utah.
Thanks

FIFY.

Recruiting classes consistently ranked in the 120s overall per 247 Sports and this is what you end up with. If the best he can accomplish is a 6-7 season with Nick Arbuckle at QB, what will he do with what he has now? I think he needs to at least achieve bowl eligibility to save his job. 8 games left and I don't see 6 wins on the schedule.

The fact that Manning is the best you got is scary. He's terrible.

I think GSU will find be able to establish a rushing gmae against TXST and maybe passing. Our defensive line couldn't pressure a FCS team so you should be able to set up plays. You will probably shut down our run game but if we can get our passing game going like we did against Ohio and UIW then we should have a game on our hands.

RE: Texas St at Georgia St
GaSt really played well on defense against App State, but I can't believe how inaccurate Manning was in that game. He made one great throw to Davis down the right sideline but other than that was totally scatter armed. With all the high school talent around ATL GaSt has to do better at QB. With Arbuckle at QB it would have been a different type of game on Sat. With Manning at QB it looked like App just took the air out of the ball and ran the Power I out of the spread formation which GaSt defended pretty well. Glad App won the game by 14 but man what boring football that was.

If I were TxSt I would make GaSt throw the ball and hope to pick a few; with Hart out just double Davis and hit the TE at the line to disrupt routes. Should be an interesting game.........

I think this game will be low scoring. GSU has a great defense and no offense, TXST has a decent defense and iffy offense. Both teams run game is pretty poor so far. TXST has the QB threat that GSU doesn't have but the TXST oline is lacking depth and has injuries.

Hopefully, the kickers don't struggle because they may determine the winner in this one.

I am biased but I still give TXST a slight edge because of the QB play.

If Texas State wins this game, and a bowl might actually look possible. And if a Belt team gets to 6-6, they'll be bowling this year.

I am pretty sure that if TXST goes 6-6 again and doesn't make a bowl, there will be a meltdown.

I'm no offensive guru, but from what I can tell, it looks like the quality of the D line isn't going to impact our offense a ton. Our best(?) RB is going to run into the defense anyway and hope he keeps going straight, and our quarterback is going to stand still until he can pass toward the one receiver he has in mind on that play.

Our running game is terrible and GSU's defense is solid. If they can stop our passing game we will see alot of quick 3 and outs, then our mediocre defense will get gassed and make their O look good.

It'll come down to coaching in this one. The key for TXST as always will be whether we can string together 1st downs with our fast paced offense and give our D time to rest and eventually wear out theirs.

Beat Ga State and then we can discuss why there's an almost 0 percent chance of a 6-6 Sun Belt team staying home this year. Lose the game, and it might not be an issue

Our only hope is for our Passing Offense to do well. Not looking good based on team rankings. Georgia St. # 4 passing defense Averaging 138 Passing yards allowed per game vs TXST #31 passing offense with 293 Passing yards per game. Granted we played 2 back to back ranked opponents.

Well it seems most disagree with you, as GSU is now -10.5.

This thread is pretty funny. Both fanbases are guaranteeing losses...

We are arguing over who sucks more.

If this game was at Texas State, I'd take GSU minus the points. It just seems like they play better on the road (except at App 2014 in a snow storm). Since it's in Atlanta, I'll take Texas State +10.5, though I still think the Panthers win a close one.

I think it's two fanbases that have been conditioned to manage expectations.

And seriously, -10.5? No way.

Yeah, they'll have to score 10.5 points, first.
