Ohio is looking like a decent team after all.

I agree that we need to shift to a pass first offense. This wasn't always "pretty", but it was definitely decisive. If we hadn't lost the last two the way we did, I think we might feel more comfortable with this.

Not taking anything away from your post, but considering our off season, how late Withers came in, all the changes, guys weeded out, guys that just flat out quit, this squad's youth and inexperience, etc., etc. in light of all that, if you'd have told Bobcat fans, with our OOC, would you take 2-2? Everyone would have been jazzed with that. So in terms of record and performance to date, I'm more than comfortable with where we are . . . . We're actually sitting better than almost anyone predicted.

I don't know that it's a "lack of comfort" that you're feeling, as much as a recognition that overall we are not very good. There are glaring deficiencies, and a lot of work that needs to be done to become a solid, good football team. And the reality is, we just may not have the personnel to get there this season. But I do believe that we have a group of guys that can exceed expectations . . . And that's something we haven't seen in San Marcos in a long time.

We won a game we were supposed to win. The first quarter did not go well but the Cats kept their composure & eventually dominated in front of the home crowd. Not much more you can ask from a young team with first year coach. My 2 cents...

I agree. How many times do you see a poor FBS team or FCS team score first against a P5 and think oh man they can do it only to see them get blown out? It happens a lot. The team has shown against both Ohio and UIW that they can bounce back after a slow start and fight to win. That is different than in the past.
