You started the year ranked and have had at least three nationally televised games already (OU, UC, and UCONN)

Maybe UH will get everyone a raise if we make the playoffs. Or maybe we will leave. Have no clue which is more likely, honestly, probably neither.
Get over yourself. You are one coach away from 2014. Enjoy the moment, but please.
Dude, vcoog is right... Everyone in the AAC should be pulling $$$ for Houston... And about been one coach away, we'll simply hire another great coach just as we always do. Hehe

Agreed. When Kevin Sumlin left, Houston made an excellent hire and just kept on rolling...

So all UC needs to do is get ranked and the Bearcats could be on national tv as well. Good luck cuz the Bearcats suck butt.

Technically levine was promoted not hired. So yes we did make a great hire.

I do pull for Houston to win, like I am pulling for Memphis today. Not getting the part about always hiring a great coach. Levine class class. Anyway, you have a great unprededented season going so do not think that this is the norm for you.

I see where you're coming from, no this isn't the norm and no UH fan would think us being in the top ten is gonna happen every year. My point is still valid that the AAC can use it as leverage for renegotiating the TV deal though, sorry if it came off wrong, my point is how under funded we are.

That's why big budgets and the deep list of young successful innovative coaches is so important for the AAC. There is a reason we entered the week with every team at .500 or above. There will always a team on a roll in the AAC. Won't be the same one every year---but there will always be a team enjoying a great season (likely several---just like last year). That IS going to be the "norm",

We are in agreement. Vcoog on the other hand is getting a little too big for his britches.

Useless post.
Do another analysis that takes into consideration the following:
1. Channel
2. Opponent
3. Time slot
4. Lead in

Useless?
The better teams get the better channels. The better time slots.
To the victor goes the spoils.
The more viewers, the bigger your brand becomes. Pure and simple.
