Wow, how ignorant. You don't give any credit to Fuente for capitalizing on the talent VT had or hammer an over the hill Beamer for losing to a coach like Ruff with that same talent. That would be the more realistic stance vs the assanine one you're taking.

Virginia Tech also didn't have a great QB or OC last year. The situations are hardly comparable.

Reach 2-6 with a 6 game losing streak and 0-4 in conference and you are pretty close to complete meltdown, it probably gets the AD fired (who is already in a tough spot with the way he fired Ruff and having a new boss himself), and then yeah Mo will be looking for work probably quicker than most think (probably less than 3 full seasons).

We are not the 0-12 team that you guys witnessed last year. Spread is -4 so the gamblers think we are pretty even matched.

Of course not, you are better that's a given no chance you could actually be worse. This isn't a shot at UCF, but quite honestly looking down the schedule if ECU isn't good enough to beat UCF at home I don't see more than maybe 2 wins left on the schedule. The road games @USF, @Cincy, @Tulsa, and @Temple are all gonna be tough and Navy on a short week is just a nightmare. That really only leaves UCONN and SMU at home as games I'd say are pretty winnable, and quite honestly they aren't gonna be easy and may very well both be as good as UCF. If ECU is gonna make a bowl game they have to win this game. If as a coaching staff you are behind another first year coaching staff that inherited a team that was much worse and had much bigger issues than you did you are in deep trouble. This is a must win and a loss IMO spirals things out of control with the upcoming schedule, and if ECU continues to have arguably the worst special teams and redzone offense in the country they are gonna lose.

We will beat UCF, Tulsa, SMU, UCONN, and Temple for sure. Probably eeks out Navy win as revenge, and splits USF/Cincy. 9-3 and an outside shot at the east title or 8-4 and a good bowl game.

Sure ECU is IMO capable of that, but if this hot garbage that is our special teams and red zone offense continues you can flip those records right around. We've done it 2 games in a row now, so I'm not sure you can call this stuff a fluke anymore. We've only scored in 3 of our 9 red zone trips the last 2 games, and only 1 was a TD. We've given up a PR TD, a KR to the 5 yard line, had 2 field goals blocked, and 2 punts blocked in the last 2 games. This stuff has to stop and it has to stop right now or this season is gonna go into the crapper.

As long as ECU doesn't wear the white lids anymore this year, we have a chance in all of our games. :)
