Week 5 predictions
NMSU vs Louisiana Lafayette...I think ULL will be favored but NMSU offense is no joke, and its at NMSU. They may have only scored 6 points on Troy, but they moved they ball well on our defense if not for the turn overs. They also put 45 points on Kentucky and have a win over New Mexico

ULM @ Auburn

USA vs #19 SDSU

App State vs GA State...I think App wins by 2-3 scores.

Texas State vs Incarnate word....Who is that? lol

TROY @ Idaho....I will not predict my own team anymore

Wednesday October 5th

Ark State vs Ga Southern...not looking good for stAte.

RE: Week 5 predict
I'm holding out Hope that we did beat SDSU at their place last season. I don't know how we win some of the games we win, to then lose some of the games we lose. So frustrating.

GO JAGS!!!

And ULM and TxSt, need all those out of conference victories.

Yes because the last two SBC games with Southland teams went really well...

Was it Incarnate Word who beat Georgia State, or was it Abilene Christian, I forget.

Abilene Christian beat us 2 years ago. Larry retired shortly after that one.

Troy lost to them in 2014, Gast kicked a FG with :03 on the clock to beat them.

Incarnate Word is a 3rd year DI football program (SLC). They are actually still in transition from DII

Mountaineers over Panthers...Panthers lead in 1st qtr
Bobcats over Cardinals...Blow em out Blow em out
Trojans over Vandals...Slow game, tons of passing

RE: Week 5 predictions
Two years ago Georgia State was psyched out by kickoff due to the snow and howling winds. Last year, they were psyched out from the previous year and never winning. Akron and Miami showed our pass defense is vulnerable, so the Panthers might have a chance if they can get the passing game going.

passing numbers are way down for GSU, and their giving up around 300 yds a game on the ground. I don't know if we can run like we did against Akron, man that was a lousy defense, but we should be able to atleast control the clock and keep their offense on the sidelines.

RE: Week 5 predictions
The only thing Gast is doing right now consistently is losing.

Manning isn't able to move around under pressure like Arbuckle was and Winchester is mobile but can't hit the broad side of a barn. App has had the recipe for shutting them down and I don't see that changing, especially with the weak QB play they've been getting.

Their defense has had some flashes though. We'll see how they handle App's attack. As long as you watch for stretch left, stretch right, jet sweep, and catch the TE slipping out then you should be able to stop the majority of their offense.

Will Cox be back?

I wouldn't bet on it. With Moore (257 yards last week) + Evans and Boyd, why risk it.

Why are we picking the GS stAte game. Shouldn't that be a week 6 game?

Auburn's D is strong but they just don't look good on offense. I think you have a chance of the upset if you can keep it close going into the 4th.

04-cheers

ULM @ Auburn

USA vs #19 SDSU Upset of century of the week.

App State vs GA State could be one of those days Ga State wakes up

Texas State vs Incarnate word They just making up teams now

TROY @ Idaho

Wednesday October 5th

Ark State vs Ga Southern barring 21 points off four turnovers and 100 yard kickoff return I like our chances.
