IN all honesty this upcoming game against App will tell the truth about this game. The games against App have not been competitive in the least bit. Not saying that we will win but we need a great showing against them point blank. Then I can give an adjusted prediction on how the season will play out. For the record I pretty much expected us to be 1-3. Win against ball state, close lose to Air Force, annihilation against Wisconsin and a puzzling loss to app. Well we blew the opener, got destroyed by airforce, played puzzling close to Wisconsin.

Personally, I think the Air Force game is going to be a greater indicator for what's going to happen in Boone this weekend.

App has gone more and more run heavy every year it seems and now they are to the point that it doesn't matter who is running the ball, they are getting it 35 times. I don't think Georgia State has the same offense as Akron and I don't think anyone in the Sun Belt can do what Miami did to App's offense. That said, my rankings are as follows:

1a. Troy
1b. App State - Finally found a passing game, when a back-up runs for his second career 240+ yard game.....you know you have an offensive line.
3. Louisiana Laffy Taffy - Seems to be finding itself. Tulane is no pushover this season
4. Georgia Southern - Simply let the game get away from them, couldn't stop the big plays
5-11 - Anyones guess, the conference drops off pretty dramatically outside the Top 5.

Surprise of the week: Seminole Indian has got to be amazed at the talent the Arkansas schools boast.

12. Arkansas State

So we have road trips to the 3 other top 4 teams on my list. Going to be extremely difficult to get out of those unscathed. Luckily none of the 3 are back to back.

While I agree with your list, it is quite sad that South Alabama, a team that beat Mississippi State but needed OT to beat Nichols, is number 5. Southern got whooped by WMU (as some expected).

Lest we all forget, Arkansas State hasn't played a conference game. Against the 5-11 teams, they will most likely become bowl eligible.

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings
1. Troy - Curb stomped NMSU - they move to my top spot for now.
2. GS - Tough loss this week but they're still 2-0 in the league
3. App - Good win over Akron
4. ULL - Frankly I don't think anyone deserves 4th....
5. USA - Thank God you pulled it out over Nicholls
6. TXST - Finally a non top-20 game this week
7. Idaho - Great win over UNLV
8. stAte - Why do I get the feeling they are about to start winning? I think we'd all prefer you didn't...
9. GSU - still looking for win #1. At least you have 1 moral victory.
10. NMSU - 52-6???
11. ULM - You guys sell that New Mexico game yet?
