In the entire history of college football....
has there been a worse beat down than what's going on in Memphis? 56-3? With 3:30 left? Before halftime? Wow, what's going on at BG?

What happened at NIU? I knew they were down, but they appear to be horrible.

LOL Hurgles, there's a nickname I've never heard before. A compromise between Hurons and Eagles where nobody wins haha. Btw good luck against BYU next week, kick some Mormon ass for the MAC

Well, I can feel for BGSux and NIU. Unfortunately, I can remember when we were in similar straits not so long ago. Western was, too, just a few years back. Things kind of go in cycles. Like EMU, they will come back around.

But, in the mean-time: 03-lmfao 01-scout01-tarheelsben03-rotfl03-yes

I feel nothing for bg. I do feel bad for NIU. They brought the MAC lots of good publicity.

Just means it will be that much more painful when we lose to NIU yet again. So I would not feel bad for NIU until after we (hopefully) beat them.

We will be playing at BG in front of mostly UT fans. I watch part of that game yesterday, and their line men on both sides of the ball are not big, but they are unathletic as well. Looks like they have focused too much on the skill positions when recruiting for quite awhile. That defense is horrid.

I probably should have said I can empathize with them. I can't really say that I feel sympathy for them.

RE: In the entire history of college football....
Watched much of the game, and that was one of, if not the worst, performance I have ever seen by a team. They did everything wrong. Literally, the only bright spot for the whole team was the punter who had an outstanding night, or Memphis might have scored more. Coaching staff seemed completely lost.

BG is now ranked dead last in the ESPN FPI rankings. The composite computer rankings have them at 111 (surprisingly, still ahead of 4 other MAC schools, I guess solely on the strength of their squeaking by FCS North Dakota, who has 2 squeaker wins over 2 not so good FCS teams.)

Can't imagine a pre-season division favorite dropping so far so fast ever before. Given that the reports have been that the BG AD went out and recruited Jinx when he was not even looking to become a head coach this year, I wonder how the school admin is gonna handle that.

I believe that AD bailed very shortly thereafter for a different job. Pretty sure the new guy did not hire Jinks. Maybe the former guy realized what he had done and got while the getting was good.

Two games already in the season letting up 70+ points for TDS. Toledo will give them a third.

Niu is 0-4.

A win against Toledo for either of these teams will help make up for that.

Ah, I missed that. Yeah, now working at Learfield Sports. So, wonder how long Jinks will get to turn things around given the guy that hired him is already gone.

The Rockets better not take them lightly though, because likely they will focus on that game making their whole season.
