I'd say for the past year minus Ohio-ish. I just don't get why we can't try a backup to see if we can get something going..

I feel like Jones has only gotten worse each and every year.
I'll keep my overall thoughts on that situation to myself. I'd probably get bashed for my impressions.

Welcome to Withers...his O will kill his D. Sometimes it doesn't matter, but it can get ugly when the O isn't producing.

No, probably not.

We are smaller, more inexperienced, less talented. Cant imagine this is how both our programs have changed since 2012 when we beat them at their own home.

Easy, Houston got better coaching. Levine was in over his head and erased everything Sumlin built. Texas State wasn't the more talented team but Frannie coached the pants off Levine. Same thing with UTSA, they weren't better than UH but everything just fell apart in the stadium opener.

On the bright side... it can't get any worse than this.

Just a brutal non conference schedule with a depleted roster.

Gee, it couldn't have anything to do with losing 53 players, playing with 68 scholarships, 47 walk-ons, 10 freshmen playing, only 12 returning guys with any PT and playing the #6 team (and #1 D) in the country, could it? 07-coffee3

Hang in there and research Houston football 15 years ago. We've been there.

C2, we're good. We know where Houston is and where they're going. JMU fans have been hounding us with how awful Withers is since he took our job and left them.

They have no clue what Withers is working with this year and playing elite competition while trying to rebuild an FBS program that had just gotten off the ground. Fran left the cupboard bare.

I wouldn't even review the game film from this one .. . Burn it and just move on.

This went about as I expected .. . UIW next week and the chance to finish OOC 2-2.
Hate this type of loss, but I'll take a 2-2 OOC all things considered .... .

As a Victory next week is NOT a given, I chose the word chance . . . that said, I've gotta believe, even as descimated as we are, that we've got enough to get past UIW.

If not, season over . . .

If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that we would be 2-2 coming out of OOC I would have been happy but getting dominated instead of competing against Arkansas and houston leaves this OOC feeling like a let down.

I think I got it into my head that we were at (or worse off) the same point that we were when we started our transition. Even then we had 74 on scholarship. Right now we have 68.

Fran made this schedule and Fran left us with this mess. We don't have the lines and we don't have depth. Look at the huge example we got tonight when Cattaneo went out.

No, no, no my reptilian friend . . . No let down at all . . . Keep your eye on the larger picture . . . Keep some perspective . . . .

After all we lost in the off season, as young and inexperienced as we are, that Arkansas and Houston were as ugly as they were, was to be expected . . . Those two games were total mismatches .. As expected . . . We were never going to be competitive with those two programs . . . Coming out of those games relatively healthy was the best we could hope for . . .

Take care of business next week, and we head to conference 2-2. We won't see anything else from here on out that compares with the last two weeks . . .

All is Not lost . . . . yet . . . . . 04-cheers

We caught two powerful teams in a row who gave us their full attention.

I think we will still finish in top half of the belt. 6 wins is still within reach. Of course, I'm basing that on our performance in Ohio.
