That was textbook targeting as to why they call it. There are many times I disagree with it, but this was a legit call. Defenseless, led with helmet. It's not just head to head, anymore.

I don't understand what targeting means anymore. That was a hard hit but it was clearly in the chest and on a play where the WR was the targeted receiver with the ball being picked off before it got there. That SMU player made a physical play and now he's out for the remainder of this game and the first half of the next. Just don't get it.

No it wasn't. If that was targeting literally any hard hit is targeting. It wasn't "above the shoulders" no matter how many times the bobble heads on tv attempt to tell you not to believe your eyes as they apologize for blatantly bad calls.

He hit him directly in the face mask with the top of his helmet. Nearly took his head off. You don't see it cause you don't want to.

Lmao - he did not. He planted his had squarely in his chest. You want the top of his helmet having contact after the hit with the bottom of the face mask to be targeting. lmao. I suspect bearcat fan simply doesn't want SMU to beat the B12.

Bull ****. I'm pulling for the conference. And doesn't matter what I want, it's what the rule is. And it's a great one.

And despite your eye problems you don't even have to hit the face mask. It's targeting anyway. Go get yourself a rule book.

It wasn't above the shoulders. Not targeting. Check out water polo or softball. Those sports might suit your sensibilities better.

Targeting doesn't have to be head to head anymore. It's leading with the head against a defenseless player now. He targeted.
