What's up with tons of Georgia fans out and about today in Memphis. Are you telling me that SEC fans would rather stay here than in Oxford? Does the SEC and the BiG XII know this?

They'll be down among the academic elite in Mississippi tomorrow, but they aren't stupid enough to spend Friday night in Oxfart Square when they could be jammin' on Beale Street instead.

Usually visiting team stays in Memphis, olive branch or tupelo

Last year I talked to some A&M fans downtown and asked if they were visiting Memphis. They said they were staying in Memphis because they had a game with Ole Miss the next day.

They were staying at the Crowne Plaza and that it was the team's hotel. Sure enough, when I drove by there was the aTm team truck.

Later, talked to some other fans. Same thing. They were staying in Memphis.

There's no place to stay in Oxford.

Whenever Ole Miss has a football game fans book their rooms in Memphis and make that horrible drive from here to there.

I hate that drive.

The teams used to all stay at Whispering Woods in Olive Branch. Not sure if that's even open now

They've had at least 7 passes dropped (from a Freshman QB) at important times of the game.

Most schools who visit Oxford have their fans stay in Memphis. They stay at the Peabody and Madison. Eat at Gus's and Rendezvous. Drink on Beale. Texas A&M is, by far, the most "two the bucks around" crowd. LSU is great, too.
