I don't say this very often, but I hope wku wins. Send vandy fans scurrying for their safe places.

Well, frat boys were never accused of having too much intelligence. This bulletin board material is just what the smart boys at Vandy need.

I saw on Twitter that wkcc was at it again. Is this one of the same frats that produced the F*** MT shirts when we were honoring a cancer victim or the goat incident or is this a new one getting in on the action showing just how classy they all are up there?

Here we go again, can we just play the game without MTSU fans getting their panties in a wad...This happens all across America in frats/non frats on every campus throughout the entire country....I am sure Three is perfect and never did anything in college he regrets or wishes he did different....I can see how Vandy wants to distract on any issues outside of the actual game played on the field though...

Most of the banners that are on Twitter were produced by non-Greeks. Mostly athletic teams. It's called having a university where students actually get really into their sports, and create fun and drama leading up to the game. God forbid they hurt anyone's feelings or the PC Police along the way. It's football. It's not supposed to be nice.

Yep really not surprised we beat down Vandy or we ourselves get beat down....Vandy is out for blood after getting killed at GA. Tech and injuries may catch up to us in this one...Losing Lamp and Ward is huge hits for offense and defense as those 2 are the leaders on both sides of the ball....Wales practiced this week, so maybe he can go as well as Ferby, we need all 3 rbs to produce...Either way not feeling great about this one...

I did not even read the sign ...didn't have to to know college kids say stupid things. BTW grownups do also.

I think Western's run defense will be the difference maker in this game. Barring a lot of turnovers I think Western can produce more offense than Vandy. At least enough to get the win. If the Vandy QB can drop 20+ yard passes right in the bread basket...then I don't know. I don't think he can or at least not enough to win with his arm.

I understood it....

Rape is something that no one should ever make fun of. And these kids get in groups and it makes them feel safer to say stupid things. And thing that group makes them, better than they are.

The under 30s today are screwed up in the way they see the world (at least in his opinion and I agree)

In 20 years those people will look back and say..what the hell were we thinking

He has a daughter and protective (like most fathers) of her....in general any attack on a girl is a attack on all...or at least personal to him. And making fun of rape is not funny because it take away from something that is happening way too often on college campuses. OK he did not go that far...

I read his mind

RE: vanderbilt @ wku
With any walkup this game will set a new record for Western in attendance. About 1500 seats remain (but really a,lready probably SRO) and a lot of those are tickets Vandy did not use. Vandy only sold 450 or so tickets.

Western has 4 sections for students (I believe 4500 seats) and the game against Rice those students filled up those seats...the berm (someone said around 2500 can fit there) and then headed up top...just a guess but I would say 2500-3000 over the seating (in the stands) that Western sits aside for Students.

So if the students show like they have (I expect them to) then Western is already at SRO and 1500 tickets (seats in the stadium) remain....would be shocked if not under 1,000 by the end of today. So with any walkup I think Western will set a new record...over 24k

I read his mind

Holy shittts. My Spanish is not bad. Drop me off in downtown Tegucigalpa and I can do alright. Drop me off at a Deaf reunion and my sign language is good enough.

And I thought I spoke Stink as well as anyone but that was damn good work amigo. That's exactly how I read Stinkfist's diatribe.

3ifbylightning must've forgot about the Fratty McFrattersons down at Middle urinating on each other before you could become a 'member of the club' complete with secret handshakes and drunken late night homosexual experimentation. A big ole Frat house gets lonely when all the girls go home.

These Frat boys have as much privilege as the athletes that got into trouble at Vandy. Both are privileged classes that have been doing these things for years. But the athletes usually get away with it because of the coaches and the Frattys get away with it because of Daddy.

The majority of the Fratties never even attend the games. They're way more concerned with Fratville than with what's going on in athletics. The only reason they'd be putting this stuff up is because we're playing an SEC team. They probably have no idea who we play next.

Classic WKCC. Regardless of the antics around the game I think Vandy surprises the blood clots and steals a win. Unfortunately. (Getting ready for rivalry week in case you can't tell!)

I disagree with this part. While some only attend the tailgates and then leave, it's definitely not the majority. Just about everyone in the berm is part of the Greeks. Now how long they stay into the second half is a different story.

As far as the signs...

The "tradition" of spray painting a bed sheet with smack about other teams can be found all throughout college campuses.

The ones on the frat house read:
"Vandy goes to court, WKU goes to bowl games."
"Vandy catches more charges than passes."
"Vandy anchors down life sentences."

I don't see much of an issue with those. They seem to be talking smack about Vandy players getting in trouble with the law, and not about sexual assault itself (even though the sexual assault case is the obvious connection).

There was only one that I've seen shared that stepped over the line, but it was on a private residence not affiliated to any Greek organization (but an anonymous Greek "humor" Twitter account shared it)
"The only way Vandy scores is when girls are anchored down."
Yeah...that one makes a direct reference to rape. Not good.

I agree here with you. Most posts were not Greek affiliated, and only one even made fun of rape. The others made fun of VANDY. Do we live in a culture now where making fun of rapists is not PC?

Also, Greeks at WKU are the driving force behind athletic attendance. They care the most about athletics than non-Greeks by a mile. At most universities, I don't know. But Western has very strong Greek life compared to universities that WKU would consider its peers.
