One of these years I will get to an Army/Navy game, Lord willing.

I've never been to one either, but have heard that the game and the pregame is absolutely amazing. I cant miss the games now though; have to watch my son march in the stadium. Will be a special day for sure. It was fun watching the Corps of Cadets at their first home game. They are very active during the game. When my son visited us at halftime he was sweaty from push-ups. The plebes do push-ups of whatever Army's point total is after every score. Even after extra points, so they do the point total twice. LOL.

It will be crazy if Army wins this year; and it can happen.

I have watched many an Army/Navy game on CBS since I was a little boy. I knew about the push ups, just not that they did them twice. Watching the Corps of Cadets march Iinto the stadium at the Army/Navy game on tv is neat, but I'm sure it's 1,000 times better in person.

I hope and pray they beat Air Force and Navy this year, but especially Navy.

My dad was in the Army, and we always watched Army Navy game. The last few years CBS Sports Network has done the March On, and we loved all of that stuff. Being there will make it more special; but having my son as one of the Cadets in the Corps marching in those iconic uniforms will bring tears to his mothers eyes, and his pops wont be able to swallow. I cried on R-Day when he saluted during National Anthem, wearing the "Whites over Greys" he was just issued, and tried unsuccessfully to sing along when the band played "the Army Goes Along", even though I know the words. Its more emotional that I could have ever imagined.

I can understand that. Once I joined the Army, the game meant so much more to me. If you think you had a hard time then, I can only imagine what it will be like on December 10th (3 days after the 75th anniversary of the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941). I would give almost anything to be there this year. Not only was the Navy hit hard that day, but people forget the Army was hit hard at Schofield Barracks too. This year's game is probably going to be the biggest in 25 years.

I think this will be, by far, the biggest Army/Navy game in decades. I can't wait.

Hahahahahaha. Momba is upset because we haven't stayed purely focused on the original topic of the thread. Hahahaha.

Sorry mamba, we should review your treatise on forum etiquette, "How to maintain good web forum cohesion, subject purpose, and comradery for the enjoyment of all", so that we can be more like you.

I just noticed, if I "act now", and order the book within the next five minutes, I see that momba will throw in his other best selling book, "Pathetic life? Try 24-7 behind a desktop screen with body odor and dirty underwear?

03-lmfao I love it. True hypocrisy at it's finest. While this thread was about Game Day a comment was made about Game Day going the non-P6 schools and I made the comment about Game Day going to the Army/Navy game and the talk continued about Army/Navy talking football and tradition. No hatred, no rumors, no personal attacks. Just talk of a positive experience with an institution that has 3 National Championship in there long and storied history. Then to have the king of thread derailment and hijacking because his love of hating, attacking (personally and proffesionally), spreading rumors and resentment towards a coach of his alma mater is greater than his love to support the student athletes on that team comes in talking about derailing and hijacking a thread. Good call!

At one time I liked listening to what he had to say and felt I could learn something from him. I even felt if I pondered on his criticisms of me there may be some truth and there may be something I can use to become a better person. But somewhere in the last 13 years he fell off the deep end.

Anyway, to get the thread back on track....

Come on ESPN, send Game Day to Mt. P.

No hatred, no rumors, no personal attacks.

As an impartial observer, I'd just like to point out that the above personal attack is the only personal attack I've seen in this thread.

I guess I need to state up to the time he posted there was no hatred, no rumors and no personal attacks. As for brovol's comment, I do not agree with attacking anyone publicly. But, I'm not brovol so I'm not going to speak for him and assume why he said what he said.

RE: GameDay to Mt. Pee?
CMU v Virginia should be a good game. I hate it when I want CMU to win a game. It tears at me. But I would like to bot see the MAC beat another bcs team, and want next weeks game to be two undefeated schools.

....ill root for a CMU win with with its third string QB, after the starter and backup are thrown out for two unsportsmanlike penalties and can't play next week.
