Getting excited for basketball season, looks legit, might switch out Carmichael on 2nd team for Pancake Thomas for WKU...

I've been hearing for a while now Willie is the best player on the court at times. Pancake could easily play at a first team level. Trust me when I say this list was hard to put together. WKU screwed up everything with this influx of grown men.

Ryan Taylor makes it on to 3rd or 2nd if it wasn't for this influx of grad transfers from WKU. It really muddied up the water.

Sky is the limit for Stevie and Jon. Two of my favorite players in CUSA.

Yeah, both Jon Davis and Andrien White should have been atleast 3rd team.

Even with ODU only getting a few crumbs, I can't say I have too quarrel with your list. Thanks for putting it out there.

I'll be pulling hard for every one of these players. At least until January rolls around, when I'll have to become just a bit more selective.

Looking forward to November!

Yeah, both Jon Davis and Andrien White should have been atleast 3rd team.

I muddled over those two for an hour seemingly. It came down to Jon Elmore having the ball in his hands more and Justin Johnson coming off such a strong finish to last season.

Mark Price has an embarrassment of great guards. Charlotte is going to be a mess to handle this season.

I toyed around with getting B.J. some where on the list but I just haven't seen him play enough. Taylor is a stud too.

Our lineup is going to be huge. All of our grad transfers are over 6'3" then jj/willie at the 3/4 at 6'7" and Lawson at 7'. We have size with the athleticism I haven't seen in awhile

Don't know much about the rest of the preseason picks for the All-CUSA MBB Team; but as to the two MT guys: "Good Picks"!
If Reggie Upshaw is healthy he could be the best Power (3 or 4) Dude in the league and Giddy Potts really can shoot the Lights Out. So, he may be the best #2 Guard in the League. Of Course, September is a little early to be talkin' bout roundball.03-shhhh

For one I think he is a steal for Konkol. Also, I believe he'll get more playing time than the others due to Tech's need for some height.

ODU's starting point guard should be Caver (Soph.) who is a good defensive player at the guard position. Baker (Sr.) also returns to play the 2 or 3 positions and he too is a talented defensive player that has started for most of his first 3 years at ODU and might again this season. Both he and Taylor along with Brandon Stith are worthy preseason candidates to make the end of the year all defensive team. I expect the team's scoring to be spread around a lot more this season with the departure of Freeman and Baycote, but don't anticipate a drop off in the overall team scoring average from what it was last season. Personally I would like to see them press full court since they have the depth to do it, but I doubt that they will as I don't think that it is Coach Jones' style to do that.
