Watched Tulane Game v Navy
...color me impressed by what Fritz is doing there.
Defense looked legit versus a VERY good option attack.
Tulane Shotgun Option was impressive
Blocking schemes were very good and WR really did a nice job of holding downfield blocks.
Marley is a hustler. Same with the Rb.
The only issues I see right now is lack of talent.
If the QB learns t check down he would have had a ton more yards.
When Fritz had Bell at SHSU, a good passer at QB that option was unstoppable.
I look forward to watching more Tulane. Fritz is the real deal.

Some fans are actually complaining about that game... (Typical arm chair coaches). Fritz will not be able to just automatically bring in top talent. The offensive line is really ummmm.... Not good lol. CJ left this program in ruins and I am impressed with what I see.

Thanks and I agree. We are a work in progress. It's so nice to watch a Tulane game and not see the ridiculous special teams, worthless mistakes and just pure mental lapses. We are a well coached team that is on the right track. I really think we are moving in the right direction.

How do you think the Angry Wave will do against my Ragin Cajun team?

Fritz is a darn good coach.
It will take him some time, but as long as he is there, Tulane will no longer be a doormat in the AAC.

I think we are going to win. They haven't faced a defense like ours nor a running attack. I think we'll beat the spread (5), but hey, 1 pt. is all we need.

This weekend's game is huge. Get to 2-2, and I think 6-6 is very possible.
I worry about this team in close games. They know how to get there, but then they collapse late and lose in heartbreaking fashion. There also needs to be major development at QB - we don't have one.
They're better than last year, but it's the W/L column that counts.

And...The Green Angry Wave hasn't faced an offense as balanced as the Cajuns. Defense may be better than what we've seen from the Angry Wave in the past, but we are much more optimistic with Anthony Jennings running the offense than what we saw last year. Our young, but very talented and big offensive line is starting to gel and will provide time in the pocket and holes for Elijah M., a.k.a. The Prophet to show the NOLA crowd a fine, Louisiana born, RB with NFL talent. Our defense is learning a new system, so I expect the Angry Wave will move the ball and control the clock, but you still need to score points, but that doesn't happen quickly with the last place passing offense in the FBS. If we can score early, we'll force Willie to throw more than he wants and that could be the difference. IMO, we should throw early and often over the middle to get your safeties backed up, which will help Eli. Throwing over the middle is risky, but AJ is not a young QB and based on what I've seen so far, I'd let him go deep and often over the middle. If we can do that, this game could be get out of hand because the Angry Wave cannot score quickly...they are not playing Southern this weekend. They are playing the University of Louisiana which happens to be located in the heart of Acadiana, the origin of the Cajun culture. NOLA is a collage of many cultures, predominantly French, Spanish and African. NOLA is nothing like Acadiana, but it is my favorite city outside of Lafayette! Love me some Bon Ton Cafe'! Here's hoping for a well played game by both teams without injury! Geaux Cajuns!

Tulane made a great hire. Despite being 1-2 they are clearly already a lot better. Two 1 score losses to teams that are both still undefeated is nothing to be ashamed of. Maybe Fritz is gonna be the Fuente of Tulane, would certainly be good for the league if it does happen.
