I'll be at the UH FB game in Memphis, otherwise I'd be there.

That's right.

They out on the last five minutes at the forum. We had a thirteen point lead and the ball...turned it over, they cut it to six, got the least, then the tragic FG miss at the end.

UAB played in this tournament last year and I went. Nice little tournament. We stayed on the beach in Destin and drove about 30 minutes to the gym for the games. It is a small, but nice gym on the campus of a small college.

If we are playing for something like a conference title I'll be at the Houston game

If we are just playing to see if we are going to Birmingham? Hello Destin

The tourney is located on the Northwest Florida State College campus which is just off the Mid Bay Bridge Toll Road in Niceville. It takes about 20 minutes across the Mid Bridge to get the Destin. All seats have a great view of the court.

OkaloosaTiger, I have yet to book my room but will be doing so soon. Where is a decent hotel near Destin Commons shopping area. I would like a place for the wife to go while I am at the games. any recommendations?

It is a great time of the year to get a condo through VRBO. If you are looking for brand name hotels:

Hilton - There is Hilton at San Destin Resort and two Hampton Inns within 4 miles of the Commons on Hwy 98. There is an Embassy Suites right across the street from the gulf in Miramar Beach.
Marriott - Has a Residence Inn and Courtyard near Grand Blvd by the San Destin Resort.
I believe there is a Country Inn & Suites just west of the Commons facing the Kelly Planation Golf Course.

Purchased tickets today. not a bad seat in the house. Will be staying at the Embassy Suites. looking forward to this getaway. hopefully we win two games!

The Henderson is opening the week before the tournament. A bit expensive but they have an opening special.

I seriously considered, but couldn't take a chance on a setback of any kind. The opening is schedule for Nov 18 IIRC.
