I was at the game today....first time no one threw beer at us. Crowd was more cordial this time. Hope to see a few of you guys in Cuse in 2 years.

I understand the how it helps for strength of schedule but I've always disliked rooting for conference foes. I think the whole secsecsec mantra is queer. A conference foe is an obstacle to a goal. I don't affirmatively root against (except for smu and possibly memphis) but i don't root for any of our conference unless they are a clear underdog.

Do we have any normal UCon football fans here?

I get the fact that it helps when the conference is better. However, for an opponent has zero impact on how they do in a game. Further, it is repugnant to me to cheer my competition unless they are a clear underdog (always like to see an underdog do well). At the end of the day, I think I just like it better when everyone has some disdain for everyone else's team (like how the SWC was when I was growing up).
