Cool Women's Soccer
SBC play started this week, Jags took care of GS with a 5-0 win. Jags are still receiving votes after knocking off Ole Miss and #1 ranked Florida State. Hopefully this will get them in.

Should be a good match between Coastal and USA this year.

We actually managed to pull a draw at Troy. That's pretty incredible considering we were rebuilding the entire roster after an unfortunate incident involving an old coach.

Our Soccer coach was asked about the match with South Alabama and what to expect this match. The response was something like this

"A lot of one way traffic. South is very, very good, so good in fact they honestly don't belong in our conference. They have 10 players who play internationally who rotate in and out, and out shoot every team they face except Florida State, who they beat anyway."

"To put this in a way people can understand. South is the US Women's National Team...our only hope is to try and be Sweeden.

We've had a better year than I think many thought. Managed a win over Southeastern Louisiana, and have a few draws in places where we normally lose. Troy beat our brains in at home last year, and we managed a draw this year at their place. An achievable goal for this team would be to make the conference tournament, and would be a big step in the right direction.

We've got a long way to go to catch up with the top of the league though.

Not surprised at all at South Alabama RPI being in top 40

Graham made the schedule tough this year so we have a good shot at getting another first round soccer match at home if we make the playoffs.

Their RPI will take a bit of a hit just by taking the field against the bottom half of the conference.

RE: Women's Soccer
It looks like last year we had an RPI of 47 when the first RPI came out and climbed high enough to host LSU in the first round of the NCAA Tourney. We need Florida State, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Mississippi State to keep winning, and obviously we need to keep winning ourselves.

South Alabama scores a goal with 2 minutes left after the Linesmen missed an offside call to defeat AState 1-0. Until that point, it was the best match we had played all season by far.
