Question for Temple and UCF fans
Just wondering if you have an opinion on Allen Mogridge who is our current offensive line coach. Apparently he was the OL coach for Temple in Matt Rhule's first year at Temple and was the OL coach for UCF last year. Bad years for both teams.

Did the OL stick out as being a weakness for Temple and UCF on 2013 and 2015? And did Rhule fire him after 2013?

In 2013, even though Temple went 2-10, we lost about 5 games on the last play. The offense, and offensive line were not the problem, in fact they did ok (just ok) it was our defense that was the problem that year.

We're still recovering from his O-line ineptitude.

RE: Question for Temple and UCF fans
I wasn't particularly impressed with Coach M. Then again the whole team quit because the coaching staff was a hot mess. I don't know if any of that was on him. This year's team has a lot of the same players but are playing much better. It's subjective I guess.

I don't think we ever fire anyone. Satterfield was kinda told to find a job elsewhere. I don't remember Coach Mo being anything special.

He coached 2 stints at UCF...first as special teams coach (they did very well), then coached TE/H-Backs...and then OL.

He did a good job at Temple (that was their beginning of their rebuild/comeback) and if he had talent (like UCF special teams) he did well.

He's a good southern boy...hence why he was also hired by his buddy at Ga Southern.

Didn't he only recruit guys from PA? You'll get a lot of players from up north.

I seem to remember this as well, but that could have been GOL's influence.

Well lets be honest, The Oline was a total disaster before he got there.

He didn't help the matter though. He has been at some good places so he is not without skill at OL. He definitely has peaked though so don't promote him to be OC like we did to Key.

Considering what little GA Southern pays he is good hire, I would say he is an average OL coach for FBS.

To answer OP question, he was not a strength at OL for UCF but he rehired him bc he and Key were buds. Key was HCIW some say and Key got GOL to rehire Mo when Key was promoted. He was not fired from Temple.
