Very interesting week to rank everyone. App who was clearly in 1st loses big at home, Georgia St. almost knocks off #9 Wisconsin, NMSU plays Kentucky very competitively, Georgia Southern almost and probably should have lost to ULM, as well as it seems ULM is vastly improved, but doesn't know how to win yet. Idaho gets smoked by Washington St., A-State loses again, and after having upset an SEC team USA has now lost to GS and ULL. Troy hopefully hangs out for the best win of the week against USM. Because it isn't over yet going to wait to rank till after that game.

GS and App did not impress me today, no offense to ULM. I will definitely give Troy the #1 if they win.

GS is top 3 only because we are 3-0. We play like a middle to bottom level team. 14 penalties for 130 yards and turnover.

Guess is as good as mine with the rankings this week. We are a pretty good team that cant seem to get out of our own way. Our defense cant win every game for us.

ULL beat McNeese and USA. Not sure they deserve third based on that alone. However, I suppose if this is a week by week and not by years end projection, I could agree.

Mine is current power and not end of season. The games earlier have some affect but the current weeks games have the most pull. Teams get hot and cold.

Picking end of the year? No clue. Conference looks wide open and 3-4 teams could win it. GS, Troy, App, UL.

1. Hoplites. I guess "moral victories" can't be dismissed out of hand after all. Losing close to Clemson is more impressive than beating a bad Kentucky team and it shows. nice Job

2. Cajuns. They appear to be getting gradually better each week. nice win.

3. App State. Don't care if it was Miami or not, that was just not a good performance. Too many defensive errors and the passing game looks very suspect.

4. Georgia Southern. No offense to ULM, but the team I watched tonight won't have a winning conference record. Hope tonight was just a hiccup.

5. South Alabama. Giving them the benefit of the doubt still from the Miss State win.

6. NMSU. Improved, but I'm not ready to say they are a middle-tier team yet.

7. Texas State. Unimpressive outing at Arkansas, but Ohio win looks to be a fairly quality win.

8. Arkansas State. Very nice second-half surge. Could Hansen be the guy?

9. Georgia State. Very nice effort, not enough to wash off the stench of the first two games. Keep an eye on them, though.

10. ULM. Some sloppiness on both sides of the ball, though I think they'll gradually get better.

11. Idaho. The one team that hasn't looked overly good in any of thegames

1. Georgia Southern - Ugly win but we are 2-0 in conference play. Clean the penalties up and get the *** out of the pistol and I think we are looking at 1 or 2 losses max.

2. Troy - Clemson game last week showed us what this team could do. Troy is back.

2.Appalachian State - I was disappointed. Huge crowd. Miami's first offensive play was a bullet. Don't let it get you down Mountaineers this team has too much potential.

4. Louisiana - Cant really judge a team from its first game. I don't think Boise is very good this year but ULL did something tonight that Ark St cant. They bounced back.

4.New Mexico State - This team is solid. I think when they play a decent defense they will have troubles staying in the game but their offense will give them a chance.

6. South Alabama - USA has a ego problem. They have the talent but they just give up to easy. The culture needs to change. Someone needs to light a fire under this team.

6. Texas State - Bad match up with Arkansas. Next week they have a chance to at least make it a game.

8. Louisiana Monroe - Southern gave these guys every chance to win tonight. And they lost.

9. Idaho - Sadly I think its going to be a long year for the Vandals. Washington St isnt a good football team. Should have been at least competitive.

10.Georgia State - Showed potential today but they are still 0-3 and have a real potential in starting 0-5 or 1-4.

Well your opinion I guess...

1. TROY... win over the top 2 USM team and not many gave us a shot to win but we pulled it off at their house. By far the best win of the week. Wouldn't be shocked to see USM win CUSA

2. GS... ugly win against one of the worst teams in the league. However they are 2-0 in league play

3. App... hard to even put them this high, but I think we have all crapped the bed against P5 schools and still went on to do well.

4. Louisiana... a good win over USA. Won't know how good they are for yet for a couple more weeks.

5. Ga State... did better than most even expected. Not bad at all.

6. USA... did about how I expected.

7. Ark State... slight improvement in 2nd half, I think his team could struggle to make 6 wins.

8. Texas state...was a hard game to watch. Poor matchup

9. ULM... hung in there against GS, however GS looks pretty terrible at times.

10. NMSU... hung in there with a pretty crappy UK team then lost by 20.

11. Idaho. Pretty much how I expected it to be.
