Ha,.. What an oxymoron.. Mexico being independent.

That crap hole is the most DEPENDENT bottom feeder there is. Those people can't survive without exploiting the US or illegal drug cartels.

Another day in the toilet for the federales.

RE: el dieciseis de septiembre
Personally, I couldn't care less about the 16th of Septiembre. I'm an American and I celebrate the Fourth of July. I don't see Mexicans celebrating our Independence Day.

If newly arrived Mexicans love their country so much then why did they leave it? That's one reason that many here complain about immigrants that they don't adopt OUR celebrations and language. It's okay to know how to speak Spanish (or any other language) but it's mandatory to learn English because that's how we conduct our lives here.

That isn't a tradition in El Paso anyway. I do know however that in some parts of Mexico, it is common.

Fit, you are showing an extreme amount of insensitivity by posting this type of thread.

Insensitivity? Why? Mexico are our neighbors and an ally. We have a large population of people who can trace their origins to Mexico.

Well down here in El Paso, everyone considers themselves "Mexican" even if they weren't born in Mexico and we all pretty much celebrate the fourth of July.

I used to be a supervisor at a local Maciladora that hired many Mexican nationals and to my surprise, they also celebrated Thanksgiving.
