Exclamation EMU @ Charlotte discussion
First game I think either team will be able to use and get a feel for where they stand.

Injury concerns for Charlotte: Kevin Olsen, Jamal Covington, Terrance Winchester, Trent Bostick. First 3 are day-to-day, Bostick is dealing with his 4th concussion, I won't be surprised if he's done.

Really hope we get Winchester back for this game. I'm not as concerned with Olsen because it seems like a certainty he will play.

Are the 49ers favored? EMU doesn't seem to be as bad as they have been in the past.

Opened as 1 point favorites, but I think the line has moved EMU's way by a couple. Basically, it's a toss-up.

Hopefully home field advantage is the deciding factor!

One of those pillows had enough pop to get Georgia State last year...

Remind me how you guys did against Georgia State last year.

Didn't some of you make the same comment about our game with Georgia State last year? How'd that one turn out for you, I forget.

EMU is improved this year, and we are as well. I can't wait till Saturday, if we can get by this one the next few weeks could be a lot of fun.

Coach Lambert's weekly presser:

Kevin Olsen, Kalif Phillips and Terrance Winchester all see to be a go. Jamal Covington appears to be doubtful, Bostick still out.

Should be another sellout this weekend. If the weather forecast looks nice, I think we can approach true capacity. I expect somewhere around 16,000 though.

Did C-USA invite App and Georgia So. to the conference this week or something?

I'm not surprised Charlotte scheduled a team of Emu's. They may actually get to two wins again this season though a team of Emu's is likely pretty quick.

Willie Fritz was packing up his house during the week of the game. You can't tell me that didn't have an effecting the outcome of that game? What's sad is MTSU and WKU decided to move with F_U and North Texas instead of sticking it out with the belt.

Regardless, I think Greg Olsen has Kevin ready for this week and the 49er's roll the Emu's.

I feel quite confident Kevin will be starting for us on Saturday. I hope to see Covington and Winchester out there as well. I think we stand a good chance against EMU. Hopefully home field will give us the advantage.

You don't need home field advantage against the Emu's. Just win. Represent Charlotte as there is no guarantee the Panthers will this Sunday.

There are no pictures, stories, or asterisks in the record book.

What's truly sad is that you believe we should have stayed, we were members for twelve seasons, that was enough.
