Yea there was no way there were actually 17k there lol. People missed out on one hell of a shootout.

This is only our second time to host a top 25 team. LA Tech was around 23 when we hosted them in 2012. Getting Houston as a top 10 is huge and depending how this week goes they may be a top 5 team.

The WAC was a crazy conference that year.

The thought of getting smeared on National TV makes my stomach turn.

Well, take a TUMS and get ready, cause it's probably gonna happen tonight and next week. . ..

On the other hand, we'll probably finish OOC 2-2, which I think most Bobcat Fans would have readily taken at the beginning of the season . .

Looks like UH should at least be top 5 with Louisville smoking Florida State right now. Of course since Louisville is P5 they might just jump UH in the rankings.

They definitely will, as well they should. I would put them at #3 behind Bama and Ohio State.

We're going to stay at #6. There were some promising upsets brewing early this afternoon (Ole' Miss up 24-3, Colorado up 21-7) which could have gotten us up to #4, but both promptly crumbled.

I think 2-2 will be a successful start of the season. The goal is the bowl. Anything else is a bonus. Getting the #6 team in the country to play in San Marvelous on ESPNU is a bonus. Just hope it is a competitive game with a large enthusiastic Bobcat crowd. This game is for recruiting and convincing ESPN that we are actually worth putting on TV.

OUr last two sellouts were to Texas Tech and Navy.

Both games were on of ESPNU.

Both games TXST started the game in a 28-0 hole.

I call it a win if that doesn't happen again.

The feeling Im getting is quite a few Coog fans should be heading to the game. I know we sold out our allotment over a month ago and we requested more to satisfy our waiting list, but were denied (which would indicate the Bobcat demand for tickets must be solid as well). I know for a fact many UH fans have been buying off the Texas St web site. lol...Some even bought miniplans to get better seats. I think you'll end up with a very good crowd for this one.

Now that beer is for sure available, the game is even more attractive! 04-cheers

Wish we were fielding a better team for this one . . . . It is what it is . . . Hope you enjoy your time in San Marvelous . . .

There are people over on the BCF board already losing it, giving up on the team, or asking about Withers contract, two games into the season. Talk about not seeing the big picture or expecting us to be competitive with an SEC team after losing 53 players and fielding a team with no depth, 47 walk-ons and only 12 senior starters. (several who were not starters last year) 07-coffee3

The BLM students are organizing a sit in during the national anthem at the game.
