The potential here in this city is unreal. Herman is a smart man. Plus, Baton Rouge is under water, literally and figuratively.

Hard time believing you went to Cornell. Comes off a little strong in your profile. Way more likely you have hardly been outside Texas with how tone deaf you are.
He was roommates with Andy Bernard.

In his defense, you can't expect to live in a flood plain without having to deal with occasional floods. The logic behind calling someone out for stating the obvious is like the logic it takes to be mystified as to why your house is flooded when you live below sea level.

It's close. The average of the top 5 Big 12 coaches is about $4.5 million. Tack on his $2.5 million/year bonus, and he'd make nearing Saban money for those first 2 years.

Then you will be paying him the same as a guy that is (106–18 on the field), has seven bowl game appearances with five victories, a share of five SEC Western Division titles, four SEC championships, and four national championships.

Down here in South Louisiana the "Fire Les Miles" crowd is vocal and gaining momentum. I've also heard how Herman will be LSU's next coach.
Please - LSU fans want him as head coach.
That's as far as it will get.
He's not leaving Houston for Baton Rouge.

What I find interesting is that UH might be better off losing to both keep Herman and get into the B12.
Herman is not going to LSU. Only once in a gazillion years has LSU been able to attract a top tier coach.
Where do people come up with this silly stuff?

Of course. I've heard this a hundred times: "Our Coach is loyal! He will never leave us for another offer! He loves our city/state/community! His kids go to school here! He was born here! He graduated from here!"....and on and on and on. And then with much sadness, and prayer and thought and inner conflict, said coach moves on to a bigger school. Every single time.
Cheers!

Except, it isn't every single time. If it was every single time, Herman would already be gone (twice!) to USCe and UGA.
Petersen spent 8 years at Boise, Patterson spent over a decade at TCU when they were in a non-BCS conference before they moved up, Mendenhall spent over a decade at BYU. Who's to say Herman isn't next?
Just because you can't see ECU holding onto a coach that long, don't try to project those feelings onto us. It's incredibly transparent.

Dude, not trying to hijack the thread, but many of these people have lost so much and you're going to make a joke out of it. I lost my house in Katrina and had to commute from Baton Rouge for 5 months....not cool. It may take years for some of the neighborhoods to come back.....not cool......

It's typical crabs in a bucket mentality.
ECU had a coach that was 'all in' on building ECU and they fired him (after a season in which his top QBs were out of commission... and he still managed to beat VT).

Is Louisiana not bankrupt? Is Baton Rouge not the capital? Is the state not eroding at an average rate of a football field an hour and the loss of wetlands making flooding much much worse as the state continues to allow development in flood prone areas?
Didn't realize facts were offensive.
Go screw yourself and stay the hell away from our state. If people choose to live where their families have been for decades upon decades then what business is it of yours. If they have insurance then they will be covered, if they don't because it's not offered or they don't purchase it, then that's their choice.
Our state is eroding because of the oil company canals that have allowed salt water intrusion which is killing the marsh. We have taken steps to correct that. Who gets money from the offshore oil leases? Who just started helping offset the cost of fixing coastal erosion?
Good, now stay the hell out of our wonderful state,,,screw you A%%hole
Sorry if I offended anyone,,,sore subject, lived it....

Hahahahaha oh wow. I know UH was pushing it with the tier 1 BS, but your signature can't be serious. "One of the finest institutions in the country"?!?. New level. Nice Drake reference though. I'd add the picture of him in the UH jersey from this weekend.
