1. I'm not sure we can still use butthurt anymore.

2. The whatever we're allowed to use in place of butthurt is strong in many of the Middle fans. Chalk it up to them praying to Boots Donnelly that we wouldn't find a replacement for Brandon and when we did their collars just got a bit tighter after watching Thursday.

3. Although JT seems to exhibit some whatever we're allowed to use in place of butthurt I've seen him give Western props in the past. He's even came to games up here if I'm remembering correctly. Chalk up JT's worries about us to my #2 answer.

I'm not worried whatsoever and said that WKU handled their business but Rice ain't us, LaTech, Marshall or USM. I wouldn't make a space in the trophy case just yet because you beat a crappy team that was slower than a goat turd. We beat a crappy team tonight too. Yay! that's what we were supposed to do. I'm pissed we didn't hang 70 on em but we pulled Stockstill and the whole first team at halftime. You guys did what you were supposed to do. That's all. Rice will win maybe 2-3 games at most. No butthurt. Just stating fact. What do you want me to say? Rice is a powerhouse and you guys should be ranked after that crazy win? SMH

USM won the best CUSA team of the week award. They went on the road and beat a SEC team in their house. It was a great comeback.

Yep just like we did in 2012 and 2013 but that doesn't count right since we were in Sun Belt......Nice win of course, but lets not go crazy, we played a conference game and dominated..I am not saying give us a trophy but if no one can admit that was not an impressive performance I do not know what to say..Rice is better then Alabama Tech who you beat tonight, get over yourself..

They are both crappy teams and it's hard to know how good you are or aren't based on that performance. Maybe that's what I was trying to say. WKU is a great team with a hell of a coach. I'm not saying you guys aren't good and that you won't have a good year. You will and should be in for a collision course with us and Marshall for the east but we knew that already right?

I'm saying that you had a home game and Rice was really bad. I watched the whole game and their play calling was laughable. I'm sure y'all laughed. I did. But y'all came out and took em to the whipping shed and that is what matters. I'm not questioning that but it's week 1 and it's hard to know what's real or not.

As far as MT's game goes, I'm worried that we won't have enough weapons by the time we get to conference play. We have 4 WR's hurt now and just lost a DL last night. I'm sure you guys are crying for us. :-) We won 55-0 but I have no idea if we're gonna be good this year or not. I couldn't tell you. That's my point.

Yes, all of us said we don't know how good we will be. This thread was to point out that we might have a good qb (which everyone said was impossible after losing our 35 year old qb last year)

It's just like Marshall. They had to replace Cato and the guy who came in is a damn fine QB. He's not as good as Cato right now but he's still really good. Well, they won 10 games on what was supposed to be a down year. WKU is in the same boat. White came is and managed the game and found his receivers downfield really well. He won't be as good as Doughty out the gate but he doesn't have to be. He took care of business.

It should be a fun year. We might end up starting more walk ons at WR but it should be a fun year.
