I could see them doing a 2 for 1 if your home game was in Nisson Stadium like WKU did with UK. It would be a true home game for MT but with the more seating. I think WKU and UK was a 1-1-1-1 but UK isn't UT either

We've done it once against Louisville, but it was a decade ago. I think 40% of the crowd is about as good as we could hope for at Nissan, even that might be optimistic.

It would be a sell out for sure! I think WKU had close to 50% of the crowd at Nisson stadium... Don't short sell your fans when a big game comes around I think they show.

It would be a sellout for sure, but we'd be lucky to get 40% of the crowd, even if we controlled the majority of the tickets. There are a ton of UT fans in Nashville and sadly many of them are MT grads. There are certainly a large number of UK fans in Nashville, but nowhere near as many as UT.

If I was Middle, I wouldn't want to sniff playing UT. It's a no win for yall, even playing them in Nashville. Their fans would swallow up 50000 tix. It'd piss me off seeing it if I were a Middle fan.

RE: 3 C-USA schools sell games to Tennessee for good money.
I think we got something like 1.2 mill to play Bama last year. We put more points on them than Michigan State did in the playoffs. LOL. Go get the paycheck, take the shot and hit em in the mouth.

Playing UT would be ok but isn't a top priority to me. We could have done it last year when the UAB thing went down but our AD thought it would be unfair to play UT, Bama, Vandy and Illinois for our non conference. I wish we had. If we want to be better, we need to play these types of teams. Would have been a nicer pay day too than beating Jackson State 70-14. But it is what it is.

time to up the ante while the ante is being raised.....

that's the AD's job...

get it while the gittins good.....it won't be an option in ~decade

the uppers are going to form and play amongst themselves.....

and the under the table Clinton un-foundation will easily fund.....the closed door meetings are now a happening.....the tarmac is now off limits....

monies is really screwing with my chi....sooner than expected....

I'd argue $1.3M to travel ~250 miles is better than $1.4M to travel ~1,500 miles...

That's absolutely what I thought the difference was - a flat fee plus adjustments for travel costs, but then why is UAB getting more than UTEP?

Our AD is a former UT football player and alumnus. Plus, we've traveled well for our previous games at Neyland.

2 games @ 1.3 Million is about 12% of our total budget. Gonna have to do something to make up for the Media Rights debacle.

FBSchedules.com

@FBSchedules
Dates and guarantees for the seven future Tennessee football games just announced.

Meanwhile, Tennessee has played MT two measly times in the 16+ years we've been in FBS, and never to my knowledge in the 85+ years we played Football in FCS, or Div 1-AA, or NAIA; and we are only 165 miles away from Neyland Stadium?!@#$% Anybody wonder why that is? I think we already know.

Hell, at least they didn't begrudge you your team.

I had to fire a bammer yesterday....fk 'em and their 'tude' with an "enjoy that crap son.....I can only try to help...have a good day"

As a class of people, they're not very bright.
