When they get a QB that can throw an accurate ball, I'll be concerned.

Putting new quarterbacks on the field for a first game is a problem more times than not and especially when a starting quarterback has not been named in time to assert himself as the offensive team leader. The second week will give a better idea whether this will be a season long issue or will get better as the season goes on. No improvement week one to week two will be troubling, and again if the starting quarterback is not named today (9/3) or tomorrow it will be all the more difficult. Quarterback continuity has been a major issue from year one of GSU football with the exception of Arbuckle's second year, but even that year did not get off to a rousing start. Arbuckle and the offense did not hit their stride until the Texas State game well into the season.

Yes I did. I watched winchester double your offensive production for the entire game in one drive.

YPP isolates page of play and measures efficiency of the offensive and defensive units for both teams. Number of plays is a result, not a measure of efficiency. The reason they had so many plays is that Ball State could move down the field at an average rate (~5 ypp is pretty average), and you did nothing to shut them down.

In terms of how tired a team is, ToP would be a better way to gauge that although I think it's a terrible stat as well. The interesting thing to look at would be how long your defense was on the field in the first 3 quarters compared to Ball State. If they were equal at that point then it doesn't really matter. I'll have to take some time later this week to look into some of these numbers, it's a ***** to do it on mobile.
You do realize they were in prevent the entire time Winchester was in right?

And the only place where number of snaps doesn't hurt your defense as or rises is Madden. LOL an excellent gauge is being in the stadium and watching players with their tongues out.

Humans get tired.

Good Night

Yes humans get tired, and if ball state wore your 85 bears out, I can't wait for our chance against you. This time you won't catch us while our coach is interviewing 3 states away. Good luck the rest of the season. See you in Paulson North.

He completed 65% of his passes. Be concerned when we can either block or throw deep or worse...make in game adjustments.

Eeeeever...

And we cannot after 4 years run block no matter what combination of OL are used. At one point it appeared that Ball State was blitzing on every down. How did we adjust? There was nothing apparent. It's just perplexing and troubling that we spend time and effort on alternate unis and yet we cannot do the most basic thing in football which is to run between the tackles.
