The Jackson Clarion Ledger newspaper has been a propaganda mouthpiece for Ole Piss for years. Well, they aren't even trying to hide it now....

Hell...... we had a signed player (midterm Juco) that they told to flunk a class so that he could opt out and enroll at Ole Miss.

Name is Bing-Dukes, a linebacker

Yep. This is one of the most egregious. We need to get this into the investigation. It's one thing for a school to start - for the very first time - recruiting your guys after they commit, but this was a new low even for Ole Miss. The Rebs used to the be the worst about trying to get our commitments to sign with them. Kids they had never even so much as blinked an eye at previously.

RE: Black Bears' NCAA Investigation Expands - Look Out So Miss
A lot of lies told to cover this track...

“Middle Tennessee didn’t do anything that turned me off,” Bing-Dukes said. “Middle Tennessee is a great school, and I don’t want to take anything away from Middle Tennessee. They have a great coaching staff and they have a great program.”

Bing-Dukes was scheduled to graduate in December, but he failed to meet the academic requirements for graduation from Iowa Western Community College, which allowed his recruitment to reopen.

“I was taking 24 credit hours [last semester], so I could graduate in December. I failed one of my classes, so I fell short. If I would’ve passed my class, I would be in Murfreesboro and playing ball,” Bing-Dukes said.

“I was mad when I didn’t pass my one class because I gave so much and to fall short… It was upsetting to me, but I moved on from it.”

MTSU head coach Rick Stockstill hoped Bing-Dukes would fly under the radar of other schools after he failed one of his classes at Iowa Western, because his National Letter of Intent he signed became null and void when he failed to graduate in December.

“We had him lined up to take another class and everything, and because he wasn’t able to come into school, his [National Letter of Intent] was null and void,” Stockstill said.

Bing-Dukes said Ole Miss contacted him two or three weeks ago, and some felt he was attracted to Ole Miss due to its membership in the SEC.

“I wouldn’t say it was the [SEC]. I would say it was the coaching staff, and the defense [that attracted me to Ole Miss],” Bing-Dukes said.

“It wasn’t based off the conference. I was looking out for me and I wanted to make the best decision for me. I feel like [Ole Miss] is the best place for me to thrive, [excel] and move on in giving me the best options after school and after my career is over.”

Bing-Dukes was one of MTSU’s most coveted signings in 2016 due to the graduations of former linebackers Trey Wafford, Cavellis Luckett and T.T. Barber.

If things had gone according to plan, Bing-Dukes most likely would have started at linebacker for the Blue Raiders in 2016.

Ole Miss folks...

Bing-Dukes was on his way to Middle Tennessee, but after staying in junior college to complete the credits he needed for transfer, he was persuaded by Ole Miss to join the Rebels.

“I expect Rommel and Detric to come in and compete right away for the mike-linebacker spot,” Freeze said.

Thing is...... Bing-Dukes was a qualifier out of HS.

He had gone back to take some classes at Univ. of Georgia when he failed his class, I believe. He was from nearby Athens, Ga... and had played at UGA for one season (out of high school).

Holier than thou Hugh Freeze is the biggest snake in the grass cheater in college football. Did my heart good to see the Tigers kick his rebels @ss last year on national television.

Wow! If Freeze demonizes the NCAA enough, he might keep his job while the AD gets the blame/canned for telling everyone that they're getting a "slap on the wrist" for minor infractions. They might take a beating on this, lose some scholarships. THAT would seriously hurt them in the SEC. Send them right back to the bottom of the west division under MSU.
Couldn't happen to nicer people! LOL! That's what they get for hiring a Southern Miss grad! LOL! It was always a secret conspiracy to bring down Ole Miss! {evil laugh}

Nothing to really see here. Ole Miss and MSU faceplant pretty regularly. They were due. Orgeron was funny. This is drama. Boring drama. Athletics IS entertainment folks. MSU's turn can't be far off.

Oh, and as far as being afraid of the NCAA, we've already been bent over a barrel for Donnie Tyndall. Hopson just arrived from Alcorn with a predominantly new staff. He doesn't have to buy athletes to win C-USA and he knows the area very well. Not worried.
