In response to ?s, @wiseacrebrew lease will NOT limit or disrupt LB parking in any way. Always in conversation with @stricklandmayor.

Good deal. Wasn't used, now will be.

Local jobs, local business, revitalization of an underused asset, and saves an architecturally significant building.

What's the problem, seems solid!

With the crowds we've been drawing, we should play our home games there. Some of the cupcakes should be played at the field house, would be a lot of fun and we might sell it out

I could see having the brewpub/bar in the MSC, along with a restaurant, and maybe having some rooms. The MSC outer circle is surrounded by offices which can be retrofitted into different themed lounges and hotel rooms.

Really good place to eat. If you go there make sure to check out "detention hall" where you can drink whiskey and smoke cigars waiting for your table.

RE: Plan for coliseum
City jumped at the first cash in hand without considering other potential offers. Has barely been a month since tours were allowed by investors.

EVERY offer would have resulted in the same $300,000 a year lease, but would provide a much large economic impact for the city.

City is never going to be what it can be if the leadership keeps operating under the Static economy model.

If someone had cash in hand, you don't think they would have done a deal long ago?

Not every offer is sustainable. This offer will generate revenue. This offer is from a company that has already succeeded and is growing fast. This offer has a solid gameplan. This offer fits in with gamedays at the liberty bowl. What the hell else could you possibly ask for from a company willing to move into a huge building that has been vacant and in disrepair since 2006?

Static economy model is zero sum. Meaning no matter what you do it does not change the economy.

IE Libertyland. Static model believes that if the city cuts off the money spent to cover operating losses that is the end of the story. The city gains that amount in it's budget.

Dynamic model believes that there is a cause and effect to every action. While the city will gain money from not having to cover the operating losses. It also loses money from secondary economic impact as the money the Libertyland tourist would have spent in the local economy. The money the employees would have spent in the economy is now lost. Every dollar spent by tourist turn over 7 times in the local economy. There is around $2.5 million taken out of the economy each year from the payroll alone. If all of that is spent locally you are looking at around $17.5 million taken out of the economy according to the money turning over 7 times.. Or sales tax revenue of up to $1.7 million. Not considering the sale tax revenue on supplies for the park.

The Static model showed the City saved less than $100,000 by shutting down the park. While the dynamic model showed the city ended up losing closed to $7 to $10 million in tax revenues.

I would like to know what other potential offers were out there that you think would provide a larger economic impact for the city. The artice in the CA stated Wiseacre was the ONLY viable option.

Further to the point, "the city jumped at the first cash in hand..."??? Come on man, the Coliseum has been sitting vacant for 10+ yrs, with an open invitation for the world to take advantage of the opportunity - and none did until Wiseacre. And you characterize that as jumping at the first cash.........smh.
