SPOON! hired as USM MBB Asst. Coach
It was just announced that former USM/Metro Conference and NBA great, Clarence Weatherspoon, has been hired on to Doc Sadler's coaching staff. Spoon was a 3x Metro Conference Player of the Year (1990-1992), named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team (1993), and enjoyed a great 13 year NBA career ending with over 10,000 points and 6,800 rebounds.
Exciting hire for USM's struggling basketball program. Hopefully this pays off.

I thought you had hired Charlie Spoonhour, the former St. Louis coach. Okay, I know he passed away a few years ago, but Spoonball would be a big deal at USM. Clarence? Well yay! Way to go! Congrats!
