And he won the MAC with McCullum's players and Shane Whittington.

I agree with the division stuff but those 2 years the West wasn't a midget.

He could have lost the MAC both those times but didn't. The teams didn't win inspite of Hawk.

Hawk isn't, like Cubit wasn't pining for a bigger stage. Would he take a significant larger W2 if presented with such? Yes, but even if that is his intention, his slip isn't showing. PJ? You can be arrested for that.

Not true.

He was never seriously considered a candidate at DePaul. I know that for a fact from my sources here in Chicago. They listened but weren't interested. Hawk, listened too but when apparent and I believe that was earlier in the process than what was let on it was a negotiating ploy by both for there respective interests.

Without insider info, all I can do is read what's out there and I've seen it stated that he was considered a finalist so I was wrong I that. I still say that no coach retires in the MAC by choice. That's not to say they don't settle l in after 10+ years and stop actively pursuing as hard.

What did I just say, unstable dude? He's settled in. The 04' run was his best shot. He's not going to have a run at WMU at this point in his career that's going to get him any looks. He's an above average MAC coach.

To clarify, Hawk may have looked up (he isn't stupid) but it wasn't mutual. Again, that was made clear earlier on than let on publically. Both sides used it as leverage to negotiate their actual position.
