How.....do.....you......know.....that.....someone.......else........would.....not....have.....signed......with.....Texas.....Tech........if.....Tubby.....had....stayed?
We are still compiling players here....TT may be as well. You do not know.
You can guess....but your opinion is like a bellybutton. Everyone has one and thinks theirs is nicer than someone else's.
Doesn't mean it really is.

For the LAST time...they only had two scholarships open for 2016.

Clergeot had already signed. Some JUCO was their only other target (may have even verballed).

Unless you are saying Tubby was waiting on some 4* guy to commit in April or pull some stud grad transfer, the roster was pretty well set.

More importantly, if he was waiting on some 4* or some stud grad transfer it would have been nifty for him to maybe bring him to Memphis...

Memphis lost Austin Nichols and Nick King early this year, and still made it to the AAC tourney final....which is farther than they went the previous year. Team played with more heart....even with several injuries.

NEVER said it was FATAL--dramatic much? Just saying a team that finished 7th in a conference out of 10 teams might take a step back after losing their starting backcourt from a team that only went 7 deep.

Umm, Memphis lost their 1st and 5th leading (not 1st and 2nd) scorers and replaced it with a McDonald's All American and a former 1st team all CUSA player (who ended up being the 1st and 3rd leading scorers)--and still did two games worse in conference. Again, Clergeot is expected to be a last off the bench guy this year.

No one knows.

Hell the best late season addition he could get in Memphis (not TT) was some dude who hasn't picked up a basketball in 4 years, yet you are surmising he would have snagged the next Chris Massie had he still been in Lubbock?

Ok.

The Tigers making the AAC final was fool's gold. Simple luck of th draw.

Even with that there was still no postseason.

"Baylor mummy." Wow! How classy.

Yea, agenda man says he wants to see some activity. Anything to even fill out the roster at this point. Except...agenda man really doesn't.

Smith has won everywhere he has been. Just keep telling yourself that, as what could be a difficult season unfolds. Smith has won everywhere he has been.

Um, Geoff...Tubby was 46-50 overall at Texas Tech, 18-36 in the Big 12.

So Calkins really isn't spot on?

So now we don't like Calkins?

I'll rephrase just for you amigo.

They need to add bodies, preferably 1-2 inside players 6-5 and taller. Also preferably with playing experience somewhere in 2015.

Steep expectations I know.

I think he'll do fine just wish a tad more attention and effort had been given to this summer.

Overall, if they can land some quick commits for 2017, tensions will begin to ease.

No.

Tiger87, patnerized (unless he is now Tubbyized), NCRDBL1 and maybe a couple others.

The better ones are the guys that (even a year ago) are calling people who recognized Pastner's shortcomings "trolls" or "miserables" or TAMMS, and see how much they turned on Josh.

Such poor reading comprehension and instincts.

I love how "your ilk" think you know me, but are oblivious.
