Gunner Kiel
Just saw on twitter they named Moore the starter. What a fall off for gunner. Moore lit us up but damn I thought Kiel would start

RE: Gunner Kiel
Very surprised. I considered Kiel the best QB talent in the league this year. Something else going on. I know Moore is good, but he doesn't have the talent Kiel has and I've watched them both a plenty.

The fact that I have to ask probably answers my question, but is this good news or bad news?

Kiel has never had a tough time starting... its been finishing that's been the bane of his existence...

I suspect that we'll be seeing Kiel at some point this season...

Maybe this will be the year that he finishes (and stays upright)...

Cue the Mardy Gilliard highlights on halloween v USF or Zach Collaros ripping off a seventy yard run replacing the injured Tony Pike or any game played under 50 degrees that had national relevance. So many great highlights against you chumps. Too bad your highlights against UC were all in one year by your Pizza bowl loser against a 500 team.

RE: Gunner Kiel
Kiel has been the starter for most of the last two years, but fell behind partially because he missed most of spring ball with a shoulder/back ailment. Kiel also missed the Bearcats' final game last season for undisclosed personal reasons, and he has yet to catch up in the new offense of coordinator Zac Taylor.

No, They matter but the more recent the more relevant. Some other posters want to rely on turn of the century 1800s games. Everything with USF has been in the last twenty.

I am surprised, although Moore feasted on our defense last year.

I'm surprised as well. They made Kiel run with the 3s all camp and the other 2 QBs did not exactly light it up. Might be as simple as Tubby and the new OC don't like him as much as Eddie Gran did.

The same thing happened with Brendon Kay/Munchie Legaux a few years back. I'm thinking this will last all of 4 quarters. Probably a motivation thing given that we've got a 1-AA in Game 1.
