I'm hearing the results of the MRI haven't come back yet. Your source must be really good.

Hate it for Brady, if true. Expecting big things from him in the future. Really think he has all the physical tools and his work ethic has been exceptional.

Get well soon Brady and don't get discouraged. You never know when a set back ends up being a blessing in disguise.

David Moore from GA, is a really good QB. He would be my emergency backup QB.

Yes, I know that. I'm talking about the fact that we are down to 3 QBs on campus.

Don't forget that Sam Craft was a QB in high school, in case we need another.

Redshirted last year, so he would need an NCAA waiver for a 6th year ...

Could receive a medical red shirt for a sixth year but you can't petition the NCAA until the season is over.

I believe the current process is that he doesn't get to petition until his initial eligibility is up. Then, if he has been in good academic standing the entire time (i.e. graduated and in grad school), he likely would get the 6th year. But they won't give it now.

Hang in there, Brady.

RE: Brady Davis- torn ACL
I tore my ACL/MCL/PCL playing in men's church Rec league. I was 30 yrs old at the time and a total knee blowout is almost impossible to ever recover.

I really hope Brady's injury is just the anterior ligament. If so it's very likely at his age he could make a full recovery in 12 months.

I wouldn't wish a complete knee blowout and the rehab process on my worst enemy. The surgeon has you doing knee stretches that would almost be impossible pre-blowout. Rehab will make a grown man cry. I can attest.

Anytime I see a young man have a knee ligament injury just makes me cringe.

Serious prayers for Brady and Godspeed in recovery.

No, it's easily possible to 100% after a relatively short time. I experienced a complete ACR tear in my 20's and within 6 months was back near 100%. I just had to get over the fear I might tear it again and I was playing basketball at a very high level at the time.

Depends completely on age, mental ability to move beyond the tear and successful surgery. Roughly 1% healing per day on an injury of this sort. 2 years is ridiculous and complete BS.

I've heard one person say he's out for the year, another saying that they're still waiting on MRI results, both are usually reliable sources of info so I'm not sure. Lets give Bathtub Gin a pass, he did start the Big 12 Twitter Smoke thread, so he gets a "get out of jail free" card right?
