Those should qualify as G5 but I can't see liking any of them save for UVA since my wife and I both hold graduate degrees and my wife a DN from UVA.

AAC- ECU, alma mater, Navy, deep family history of Naval service, we really enjoy going to Annapolis for ECU-Navy. The Barbary Pirates vs Jefferson's Marines.

C-USA- USM, several relatives are grads and my cousin now holds an EdD from there so I still keep up with them. Nothing further.

MWC- Fresno, the Pat Hill days were pretty entertaining and they have the chip. Nope, can't think of anyone else.

MACtion- NIU, no other reason than sav a cool seems like a decent dude. High school footaball on a "college" level. Again, just no.

SUN- happy Appy is in it but I have no reason to like them so I have no favorite sun team and I'm not going to take the time to find out who else is in it because I don't care.

Schools that I “like” from each G5 conference? Eh… I’m going to list the top school that I RESPECT from each G5.

AAC – Houston – You guys have managed to be solid in football for as long as I have been an ECU fan. (Since ’02) No matter the coach or QB, you are always a tough out. Just wish you had better fan support. The Big 12 would help that.

MWC – Boise State – They were winning BCS bowls when most of our programs were still in short pants.

C-USA – Southern Miss – ECU’s only non-regional rival, in my opinion. They are a tough bunch of SOB’s and own ECU in the all-time series.

Sun Belt - I don’t know… nobody, really. Maybe ULaLa because they managed to bring 60,000+ fans to the New Orleans bowl and beat ECU. You have a good coach.

MAC – NIU – Nothing flashy about you guys… but you seem to be a hard-nosed team, year in and year out. The FSU game was disappointing, but at least you made it there!

I know a lot of people doing that. Good friend of mine just built a house on top of some hill in Lago Vista. Great view, good size lot, amazing house, half the price of Austin proper.

Truth. Any school getting into the P5 will completely forget about the unfairness of the system. I know I personally didn't care about it until USF was left out of the power leagues after the Big East crumbled.
