I know I'm pimping here, but WKU is about to have a resurgence of our basketball program too. Rick Stansbury is pulling in 5* recruits...give us 2yrs. WBB and Volleyball are already Top 25 teams...Really strong Athletic Dept overall. Just sayin'. Ok...Go ahead and bash away! ?

I've always liked WKU as a school. No bashing here. You guys are usually very competitive in sports. What are your facilities and attendance like?

Facilities are some of the best in G5.

Attendance is very average and is the #1 reason IMO we won't be moving up from CUSA any time soon.

Really not trying to dominate this thread with WKU talk and piss the AAC posters off, but wanted to reply. Sounding like a "homer" here, but our attendance is about as decent as most G5 schools. I think our competition for home games has a lot to do with it. Games against F_Us and NTX don't exactly excite our fan base. Guarantee a step up would bring the folks out CONSISTENTLY!!

Don't really see the shock with Tennessee. They were an OT away from beating Oklahoma and another 3 losses with total of 10 points including eventual champion Alabama. Lost virtually nothing from that team so... Now Washington I get.

Tennessee is a top 25 team, but they definitely arent #9.. they havent shown anything to prove theyll be top 10 besides recruit rankings and everyone in the sec has recruit rankings

and i wish G5/non blue bloods were given credit from "almost wins"..ecu had a closer game with florida than tenn. ..but yet ecu is ranked 109 or ut is #9

if houston could have for some reason played Tennessee's schedule as an AAC member, houston on the EXACT same resume as tenn is barely top 25 if that

houston goes 13-1, the only game they lost wasnt with their qb.. added a ton of 4/5 star players to the team with a huge portion of the old team returning, drops from #8 to #15

How much does your stadium hold? When you played Marshall at home last year what was the attendance for that game? Just Curious. That type of game would be your average draw perhaps in AAC. Not the pull of a SEC team but not the pull of FIU either.

Stadium holds around 23k plus endzone for the students. Stadium was built to expand to 44k when the time comes. Our attendance has been down since all our games had been switched to 11am kick offs the past two years for TV. I think the Marshall game had around 20k in attendance. Most our games got moved back to afternoon or night game this year, I expect attendance to go up significantly this season.

Long Tern I think WKU and Old Dominion would be good additions to develop if we cant lure any MW schools if we ended up getting raided by the B12

We have some of the best facilities in the country thanks to a president that knows how to get things done and a AD that has taking things to another level lately.
We play Vandy at home this season , so I guess we will se how the fans show up for a avg or better opponent
