For Cubit and his son, big picture, that is a pretty sweet buyout. I mean not too many people get a million with their walking papers, and for the young Cubit a chunk of change if wisely invested can insure his retirement.

I was going to say, poor Cubit Jr for the first time will have to compete on the open labor market for jobs, as opposed to having his old man give him jobs like the ridiculous $75k job he got right out of school. This buyout will certainly salve that wound.

Thad Ward (former WMU assistant under Cubit) was hired as RB coach under Lovie.

Tim Knox also retained. Good guy, happy for him.

With McGarigle being retained, still lots of Cubit spillover on the new staff.
