I'd say south alabama and utsa might have a tougher row to hoe.

That's a tough schedule to run the board with but not sure that slate is tougher than BGSU playing @Memphis, @Ohio State, and hosting MTSU. Or Miami playing @Iowa, WKU and @Cincy. How neither of those are top 10 schedules is interesting.

Iowa and Cincy is tougher than Ole Miss and GT? not quite.

WMU is a tougher game than memphis. And they get to host MTSU. Close, but not quite.

I think you might can make a case for South Alabama, but don't know about anyone else. I don't know of any G5 team playing on the road at 2 Power 5s likely to make a bowl and at a likely top 10 G5 team.

BTW, I'm assuming here Georgia Tech Bounces back and wins 6-8 games (GT with Paul Johnson is never down long) and that Ole Miss is overrated and wins 7-9 games.

WMU is a tougher game than memphis. And they get to host MTSU. Close, but not quite.

UC can win 10 with their schedule. Better than GT? They should be if GT is only .500 or worse like usual. if someone is expecting them to win 8 games, sure that's a better game. But only better because it's a P5 game is a stretch. WMU plays Illinois and NW. P5 yes. Good? Eh.

1. Ohio State
2. Ole Miss
3. Iowa
4. WKU
5. UC, GT, Memphis, WMU, MTSU (these teams are either better half of G5 or average to bottom P5)
Good luck predicting the order those 5 finish.

WMU is a tougher game than GT, I think... GT is unpredictable but preseason RPI has them pretty mediocre.

One thing about AppState's OOC schedule this year, no cupcakes...

I think of the SunBelt teams, S. Alabama has the toughest draw, even with Nicholls State on the schedule.

Preseason SOS is all BS anyway. Just something to talk about to fill the off-season.

"0.500 or worse like usual"? Go do your homework on Paul Johnson's seasons at Tech since 2008. There's no "like usual" there.

WKU better than GT and WMU and UC without Brandon Doughty? I'll believe that one when I see it.

Iowa's season will be over after they lose to the Byzin, BTW.

Paul Johnson GT team would win also win at least 10 games this season if the Yellow Jackets were playing Cincinnati schedule. Also that Riverboat gambler of a HC at Cincinnati would be lucky to even have a winning record this season if he had to play GT schedule.

Seems evident to me as well.

Splitting hairs but one reason I think is the media is BIG on WMU this year for some reason. You would think by all the pre season love they are going to beat every G5 by 50.

GT has finished .500 or worse 3 times in the last 20 years. I think they are a 9 win team this year, 8 if my Eagles can do what I think they can do.

Row the f-ing boat... LOL. They were rowing it last year at Paulson because they were up s--t creek.

The national media has conveniently forgotten or overlooked the fact that Georaia Southern outscored BG and WMU combined 101-44 while rushing for a combined 865 yards last year, so I'm not believing any MAC hype or bias until it is proven to me on the field.

You guys did beat the hell out of the MAC last season, and the SunBelt as a whole was 4-3 against them... even Ga State got in on that action.

You'll believe it after week 1. Finished ahead of every other G5 conference but the AAC last season.

Cool story.

But in some conferences you have to play defense too.

Will be pulling for Toledo, Western Michigan, Akron, and Ball State except for when they play the Sun Belt teams.
