You could swing 1-2 votes that might be on the fence with a big season and lots of your name being mentioned by the media.

The choice is not about one season, it is much more than that.

I'm always amazed at how this does not register with fans.

Boise State was a Top 10 program for a number of years and the best they got was a call up to the MWC when 3 members left.

Rutgers sucks. Yet, they moved conferences. Maryland football was a middling ACC program. Yet, they moved conferences. It doesn't matter what you do on the field this season, you just cant be a Tulane type program that has small facilities, fanbase, etc...UCF is a great example, they will not get penalized for being 0-12 last year when it comes to re-alignment. And it doesn't matter if they go 6-6 this year or 10-2.

IT. DOESNT. MATTER.

I disagree. If Tulane had shown a pulse in football they would be in the conversation more for the B12 based off their location. Houston is in the discussion because they are coming off an amazing year and look set to repeat. TCU was added because they had a run of Top 25 years. Performance matters.

Rutgers???/ Maryland???

I said it matters not that it's the sole decision point. And Rutgers and Maryland went from P5 to P5 and thats a different move all together.
