C-USA And ESPN3 Collaborate For Live Content

IRVING, Texas – Conference USA and ESPN3 will provide fans with a large number of live events from the league across a number of sports. Included will be regular-season competition, as well as exclusive live content from Media Days and various championships.

“Offering fans our content through ESPN’s streaming channels, as well as our own will definitely provide more exposure to our great programs,” Conference USA Commissioner Judy MacLeod said. “If our fans can’t be in our stadiums and arenas, we are excited to give them more opportunities to see their favorite teams compete regardless of where they may be when the events take place.”

Ten Conference USA regular-season football games will kick off the ESPN3 coverage, beginning on Saturday, Oct. 15. Additionally, ESPN3 will stream 10 men’s basketball and 10 women’s basketball games this winter and 10 baseball and 10 softball regular-season contests in the spring of 2017.

The following 10 Conference USA football games have been confirmed on ESPN3, with the winter and spring events to be announced at a later date:

Middle Tennessee at Charlotte 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT
Saturday, Nov. 26 FIU at Old Dominion 3:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. CT

We were on TV more in our first year of 1-A back in 1999.

Why did the conference not perform a nationwide search for a new commish ?

Wow this is bad, we go from last season where we had every game somewhere on TV to 4 games on ESPN3 and 1 game not on TV or online anywhere...I guess I should be thankful we have 2 ESPN TV games, 3 CBSSN games, 2 ASN and 1 BEINING game on actually TV...Talk about being spoiled to now this? Really hope basketball gets to keep and maintain TV FCS coverage we have had...

Well, I'm technically correct, which is the best kind of correct!

I was thinking the ESPN3 would be more of a basketball/baseball thing. Really hope they get a bunch of baseball games for next spring.

I glanced over that, thanks for pointing that out.

So, you have 10 games on ESPN3 + 12 games on BeIN. 22 total. Better than what we had, but still not great.

I shudder to think what our hoops TV package will look like.

Why not sign an exclusive deal with campus insiders to air all nontelevised CUSA football games if this was all ESPN was willing to offer with ESPN3. Your television/media deal is not acceptable. I would be pissed .
