I disagree with that statement.

The first 3 to respond to the OP were all sued by the Zieglers, right?
I know Aaron and PJ are extremely close, but shouldn't the posters be upset with:
- themselves
- Zieglers
Why hate PJ? It seems like he's doing an incredible job.

Cubit was also hired to win a MAC championship, as were all the predecessors. Be honest, your antagonism towards Fleck has far less to do about the substance than it does the style. That's the bottom line.
Because I don't presume to tell people how they should feel-think and review the recent past like the rest of us need to have it explained to us.
I just post MY feelings-opinions, agree or disagree as you will. And never called anything I've posted as "gospel."
You're right, I don't like some aspects of Fleck's "style" or personality. But I don't "hate" him. I support him as long as he's our coach.
But he better win, big. That's what he was hired to do, getting biggest salary in MAC to do, gotten more resources than any previous coach to do.
He's had four years to build the program the way he wants it. The team is a runaway choice by media to win the MAC, more so than any team in memory.
Time for him to make good on our investment in him.
It's all about performance. We've seen the "style," time for the substance.
You suggested that my post was a "lecture". My response was that my posts are no more lectures than are yours. We all have opinions, and I shared mine. You disagreed, but then you labeled my post as a "lecture", rather than point to the error within my comments. Its a "sticks and stones" response. If my points are factually inaccurate, correct them. That's fair.
I didn't tell anyone how they should think. To the contrary, I suggested that those of you who are antagonistic towards Fleck can do what you wish. I simply questioned what the standard is that you are judging coaches by, because if you do it objectively Fleck seems to be doing a pretty good job.
And you are right that Fleck is making more money than Cubit, but didn't Cubit make more than the coaches he followed too? Every coach "better win"; that is usually the most important thing. I think WMU will win; even if we don't win the MAC. But time will tell.
Don't you agree though that it is nice that we are in a position that even YOU think we are so good that we should win the MAC? That has to get YOU pretty exited about the upcoming season for OUR Alma Matter.
GO BRONCOS!!!

Fleck can be a flake but he's done more to put WMU FB in the national press than anyone before him.
Neither one of these self hypers have delivered on their boasts of greatness, yet.

Getting wronged by the ball coach doesn't give you the right to chastise anybody else on here who has positive opinions of the program and an optimistic outlook for the Broncos this season. People make mistakes. You need to chill out.
I don't chastise, I express MY take. You take it as being chastised. Your choice.
I think peej is an weasel and his staunch defenders follow suit accordingly. My opinion.

You don't chastise? Huh, because it seems to me you're not far off from the "other poster" on here who called everyone on here displaying an optimistic view of the program as "sh*tstains" and "POS" and was thereby banned, and rightfully so.

Persrod, how many times have you melted down and left? You had a special act going with all those aliases, many old repurposed ones from BI.

Nobody but you believes your alias schtick (actually you probably don't either) but hey keep rolling that out whenever you have no answer.

RE: Fleck and Perspective
I'm looking forward to the best season in our history.
When it happens, I'll give Fleck (and staff and players) all the credit he-they deserve.
Just like when he won eight games in his second year after going 1-11 in '13.
Just like after beating Central each of last two years.
Just like after beating Toledo on the road to get a share of MAC-West last year.

When most of the board probably knows who I am? Sure.
How's Long Island this time of year?

I would love nothing more for Fleck to give us the best season in our history. It would be interesting for one coach to have coached both our best and worst teams ever.

Scenario:
The skies part and the Spirit of God descends upon our program. The Mighty Broncos go undefeated, including against a perennial P5 power in our bowl game...would you STILL want the coach that built the program to that level to leave???!? Why not keep it rolling?
