Last couple of AP polls have included BIGTEN and PAC12, so whoever is in there now fully deserves to be there.

You said it before I had a chance to respond. Last time I checked, I see Big 10 teams in the top 25 too. I’m not understanding what “advantage” G5’s have this year to be ranked compared to other years.

I think the exposure due to a lack of teams playing has absolutely helped. I'm not sure as many people would be paying attention to Coastal if it was a normal season - even with a 4-0 start.

If I counted right, there's 7 0-0 teams in the AP top 25, so I'd say Coastal can probably stay int he top 25 by winning.

The 0-0 teams are ranked lower than they would have been. Ohio State was #1 or #2 to start the year, and Oregon was #7. Some other fringe BIGTEN and PAC12 teams could move past Coastal in the next few weeks.

There are some people still not voting for teams that haven't played (like Brett McMurphy). That'll change with all P5 in action this week.

It's possibly Coastal stays in if they go 5-0, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them on the outside as well.

I think it's a curse mostly because of who they play next. It's usually some salty bunch like South Alabama, Georgia State or Arkansas State foaming at the mouth to ruin your lunch. You would prefer a team like Texas State or ULM after a big time win or ranking. Not sure GS is that team.
