Knowing where you're from you're expecting SIU to win. I think FAU better not sleep on them for sure.

Going with MTSU for this one. Would like to pick my own team (and I believe we'll manhandle Hampton), but Wilder tends to take his foot off of the gas rather than embarrass a team.

Stock didn't call the dogs off against Jackson State, but I can see letting Brent establish himself in the first game. In our 73 point effort against Charlotte we only scored 42 points in the first quarter and only scored 17 points on offense in the second half.

There are really two considerations to make. Not just the strength of the CUSA team but the relative strengths of the FCS teams in this equation. I know So. Illinois was pretty bad last season. How about the other three?

Southern Illinois was easily the best of the 4 from 2015. They lost to IU in Bloomington by only one and only by 6 to North Dakota State. I doubt either Alabama A&M or State and Hampton could stay within 3 TD's of either team. Just by using last season and not knowing who everyone has coming back to me Alabama A&M is the weakest since they lost to Alabama State by 15 but they did play a FBS opponent where Hampton & Alabama State did not.

While I expect us to put up about 70 on Alabama A&M; I would sure like to save about 20+ for Vandy the following Saturday (Not to look a head)!

And, yet, So. Illinois went 3-8 in FCS. It is irrelevant whether they lost by 1, or 6, or three TDs. You do not get points for moral victories.

Just as a case in point: FAU took the Gators to the OT at The Swamp but no one in their right mind would suggest that a 3-9 FAU team was anywhere near the 10-4 UF team last season.

I agree. I would rather beat AAMU 42-14 and carry over an extra 21 pts to the Vandy game (if it worked that way... LOL!). Can't wait for both games. I hope you have your tix for Vandy, they are starting to really sell quick. StubHub still has a few cheaper tix left (for under $30), but before long it may be time to buy thru Vandy tix office since they are only $34 with fees. Hopefully we have a huge win over A&M to start the year and that gets even more folks up to West End on the 10th.
