Nationally. This is about perception. We all know the AAC will go market crazy, so we won't get that. It's about being included in the list that's important. Helps for the future

Part of me would be very excited for that to happen just to see Fayetteville meltdown.

You can never get a job you don't apply for. I don't blame Ark. State for seeking this out one bit, even if their chances are 1,000,000:1. I wish App State had done this, too.

On a separate thought, it's ridiculous that a major conference would be so public about all this. It's the complete opposite of what the ACC did in going after ND, Syracuse, and Pitt, or the B1G did with Maryland and Rutgers.

The thing is - the meltdown would be less in Fayetteville than the rest of the state. There are people who never went to school there, and some who never went to a game there, who would have their world view flipped on its head. This would be a true earth isn't flat moment for a select group of Arkansans.

There is a Little Rock NBC TV station that has a hogs only nightly sports on local news that is called Razorback Nation or some crap. The brainwashing runs deep.
