LSU and Texas A&M Coaches
Was in the Roadhouse today when two burly coaches from LSU sauntered in and sat next to our booth. Despite my best attempt to eaves drop I didn't hear much except a few PJ references. Went back to minding my own business when two coaches from Texas A&M wandered down from upstairs. Thought I was in the Twilight Zone.

They greeted each other and the Texas dudes disclosed that they were in town recruiting. Didn't know kzoo was SEC country? Any thoughts?

Didnt fall football practice start for everyone around the country why the hell arent they on the practice field with their respective teams???? Maybe they are getting some lessons on rowing from PJ? Its very curious as to why they are on campus.

Ummm.....gotta call shananigans. Coaches don't recruit in pairs. Only time coaches are together off campus is for camps or clinics.

I asked the hostess, who is a track athlete at WMU, what she knew about them as the A&M coach chatted her up a bit (very pretty girl), and she said all she knew is that they'd been around a couple of days. Maybe I'm mistaken, maybe they're not football coaches, but they wore the gear, looked the part, and mentioned being in town to recruit.

Don't really think anything untoward as they weren't shy about wearing their gear.

They're SEC coaches. Rules don't apply to them. 03-snooty

LSU and A&M have started practice too, and as Doo pointed out recruiters don't typically travel in pairs.

Not to mention SEC teams don't make a living on Kalamazoo-area players.

I call bullspit.

Can't blame you, I would too. That's why I mentioned that I was in an episode of Twlight Zone. Is there any other sport in recruiting season?

Not really, I don't post much and I have no motivation to bullspit, simply reporting what I saw while lunching with my daughter. I certaintly understand the skepticism.

If I miswrote, my apology. I didn't say that the LSU and A&M guys were traveling together. We were sitting down when the LSU guys came in. It was 20 minutes or so later when the A&M guys came downstairs and greeted the LSU guys. They chatted for a minute, I heard the word "recruiting" and the A&M guys left.

RE: LSU and Texas A&M Coaches
To my knowledge there has never been an athlete from Kalamazoo area compete in any sport for either LSU or A&M.

Nor are there any capable of it now that Isaiah Livers has committed to U-M. And his other top choices reportedly did not include any SEC schools.

Whole thing is shady.

I've been following college football for 45 years, I was very surprised to see SEC coaches in Kzoo as I know this is not typically SEC teritory. As I said, simply reporting what I saw. I'm too old to bull**** about something of this nature. Why bother?

BC, not accusing you of anything.

I think it's the quartet of "recruiters" you saw-heard who were trying to pull an okey-doke.
