RE: Fall camp
Recap of the first week: http://www.wmubroncos.com/news/2016/8/13...h=football

A few players were singled out by Coach Fleck as having a good camp so far: DE Eric Assoua, DE Antonio Balabani, OL Luke Juriga and OL Zach Novoselsky. Great to see the big men getting some recognition. We have plenty of talent at the skill positions, so it's good to see that players on the line are coming along nicely.

RE: Fall camp
DL may go from a weakness to a deep unit particularly if Matich is healthy.

A good Dline would be something we need to be an Elite football team

RE: Fall camp
We may have depth at D Line, but we also need someone to be a core up front like Ash was a couple years ago. If someone does that would be huge for the D.

Glad to see Brown move to LB. He couldn't cover. He's a great tackler and has terrific speed. I just hope he's not undersized at LB.

What a tackle by Sam Beal: https://twitter.com/TheD_Zone/status/768249135648608256

Anyone else think he'll start at CB alongside Phillips?

From what i remember when Sam Beal was playing he seemed to be making plays covering....If he can lay the wood like that i think we'll be strong at CB

Classic tackle, getting away from the dangerous head spearing stuff. A trained wrestler would be proud: penetrate, lift, takedown. With their feet off the ground the runner is helpless.

I noticed that he was on crutches, but didn't see the boot. Not a good thing either way.

Another MLive article on Brown

If he can not get sealed off against Northwestern, Georgia Southern, and Toledo on those counter runs, this could be a serious game changer for us.

RE: Fall camp
I had the pleasure of catching some of practice the other night. It really was evident how Darius Phillips got so good at CB, so fast. He is going up against an AMAZING talent, day-in, day-out.

I wanna know how he makes his chicken purple. It doesn't seem sanitary.
