RE: App State vs. Miami SOLD OUT
On the bright side, if someone had told an App fan 10 years ago that prices to an App home game would be going for 300 bucks on stubhub now, what would you say? #FBSProblems?

Just wait it out. Happened with us against MIssouri as well. There are people who literally buy tickets to the game for the sole purpose of selling them for a quick buck on stubhub. Give it closer to game time and the prices will come way down.

Season ticket were only $200.... could have saved you some cash.

Don't quote me but I believe season tickets sells are around 5000 I know we are at the 250$ donation level for Yosef club that comes with a parking pass

Based on media day interviews with DG, I actually think we are at about 6,000 season tickets this year. Still not great and not where we need to be, but it is about 1,400 more than where we were at last season. A good 1 year increase. With Wake coming to the Rock in 2017, we should see another sizable jump.

Kudos to our Athletic Dept for leap we took this year!

The only reason I take issue with the nature of re-selling is that it leads to empty seats. This is the first time a Sun Belt program with be on a major ESPN channel on Saturday at home and it would be nice to have the stadium filled as it was in 2007-2010 with 29000 to 31,000 in attendance. With that number the bottom of the hill is filled and people are lined in every grass area possible.

My main concern is the number of tickets that were purchased solely for the purpose of reselling, however we won't know how that affects things until Gameday. I will be attending regardless but i'm hopeful that the number of resellers is rather low.

This and Idaho are the only two open Saturdays for me. I expected tickets to be sold out but not within an hour. Generally speaking, in previous situations where a sell out was imminent it took a day or two. Didn't anticipate the demand for actual seats along with scalpers.

You'd hope, but people will do anything for a quick buck. It's never going to be as bad at this level of football though. I think your biggest concern is who is selling the tickets, an App fan or a Miami fan?

We still have work to do. Unfortunately, seeing a change in long standing ticket purchasing habits/practices requires enduring some pain. Having to miss the most anticipated home game ever played at home may cause some folks to re-think their game plan going forward.

And without fail, despite all the "sold out" announcements, we will still have "fans" that will call the ticket office two weeks before the Miami game (or the Wake game next year) asking if any tickets are available. These are the ones that I just want to ask, "What *$#! planet do you live on?!"

Yeah Georgia Southern is going through the same thing. We have a bunch of fans who are used to getting everything for nothing and now that we're a legit FBS program they're shocked they actually have to pay money for luxuries.

Our season ticket goal this year is 8500. I don't know how close we are to that especially since we only have 5 home games this year. Last year though we had almost 8200 so I'd say at least our base is growing regardless of our home game slate

EDIT: We have sold 8100 so far

That is literally the biggest pet peeve I have while on the road.

...anyways...

For whoever was asking, down in the stands we have two donation tiers, $250 and $500. I am still reaping the benefits of our Young Alumni program, which matches your donation. This will be my third straight year as a season ticket owner and Yosef Club member.

Map of stadium, all permanent seating sections other than 4 require a $100-$500 Yosef Club donation. Club seats require a $2,500 donation.

Season tickets are $200

For years App offered half season packages, which were extremely popular. I don't think those counted towards our season ticket #'s then (even if both halves were purchased). So we're actively trying to convert those half season buyers over to full season buyers.

You think the tickets were hard to come by without season tickets/Yosef membership, wait till you try and find a parking pass anywhere near the stadium!! That will be the hard part and likely few will appear on Stubhub for any price.

Maybe they should look at taking over Boone Mall parking lot or old Watauga HS parking area and shuttle folks over to KBS.

The plan is to once again use the old Watauga HS lot for satellite parking for Miami.
