I never get the whole "Once a Tiger..." thing that some fans like to bring up. It usually comes out to try to rub other fans' noses in something. What is the basis for "Once a Tiger"? Did someone make this argument years ago? Or, is it a cheap knock-off of the UTK "vol4life" thing?

There a plenty of people over the years who have some history at Memphis, but who cannot be reasonably considered to be a Tiger now. Plenty.

Like Rudd and the energetic leadership he provides. Just don't get throwing this phrase around for divisive former players/coaches. No need to complain to him about this though. He's got other things to concern him.
