We also have the ONLY accredited Digital Forensic Science program in the WORLD.

I would tend to agree. In fact, I think there is little interest in going west for the Big12. If the BYU wasn't such a clear leader over all the other candidates, they would never even consider going west when so much of the population is in the east. BYU, with its large national faith based fandom, is very much the exception to that rule.

There are some serious problems with giving the Denver market to csu. Csu is something like 70 miles from Denver. It's not a travel partner for anyone in the league (BYU an 8 hour drive & Kansas state the closest current member also 8 hour drive). Let's face it, this already road trip or plane flight league anyhow. So if they're not a travel partner for anyone, what is the appeal?

CSU is really nice. Ft collins is s great college town and i can see them picking up the denver market. If you ever get a chance to visit you would be sold.

I believe you. Colorado is gorgeous and I haven't heard anything but good things about Fort Collins, but would I put csu in front of any of the AAC schools? No way. Except maybe uconn, because like you put it, I don't see a bunch of Midwestern folks that excited to fly to Hartford in November or even the end of October.

Maybe its due to being a G5 fan, but for a dude that writes about Marshall all the time, he sure sounds like one condescending SOB.

Once our new science building is completed, we should move on up. We have had a shortage (and subpar) facilities for some of our science programs for a long time now.

$150 million will build a hell of a facility.

Our Forensic Science program only admits around 35 students per year.

That's more than the amount of people who show up for an NIU game.

Here's the deal with the USA article.....OK, we (the B12 current members) got the academics covered by getting this article out, now who plays the best football & how many TV sets can they bring? Oh and how much discount will they take to put more $$$ in our pockets?

That's the short & sweet of the selection process.

That AAU thing has literally become the Big10's identity at this point (even though Nebraska is no longer AAU---they were AAU when they joined).

Will be interesting because they are not a national research university (Carnegie R3). This is where pimp and spin will come in as schools will provide the rankings that make them look best.
