Only jollies they can get. From what I can tell the high water mark of the program was breaking a halftime tie and beating an AState team that lost two starters to stupidity before the game, lost its starting RB on the first drive and lost it's best receiver and return man in the first half (and still gave up a special teams TD to a guy returning a kickoffs for the first time ever).

It has to be the highwater mark because I've seen them post about it 80 bazillion times.

Marginally yes, without Marshall and USM definitely.

Comical......CUSA is 9-1 vs Sunbelt since current teams took effect.
4 times as many NFL draft picks, not to mentioned CUSA 4th place dominated the undefeated Sunbelt Champs last December. Zero evidence to back up your opinion

Draft picks don't make good teams. You didn't dominate the game, you dominated the 4th qtr. I don't care about the past I'm looking at the future. App (& GA So) had nothing to do with the Sun Belt's past. BTW, how did that little FCS move-up in the mountains of the NC outdraw the big city Bulldogs last season while playing 2 Thursday night games and a Thanksgiving weekend game? How could thay also have 17 games with higher attendance than La Tech's largest ever home crowd? No wonder you guys have to cover big sections of empty seats with bilboards.

Yep, Like I said zero facts. 9-1 since ODU, Charlotte, App and GSU joined. Hell even winless Charlotte beat a Sunbel bowl team03-lmfao Tech alone had as many draft picks as the whole Sunbelt conference. Better on the field and better talent.

Big city Bulldogs, have you ever been to Ruston? There isnt much difference in population. Ruston and Boone are probably among the smallest towns in FBS

Yep I've been there. Business / metro area of Monroe-Ruston-Bastrop, LA 251,155. Boone-Blowing Rock-Banner Elk, 53,435. Heck, it's 1 1/2 hours to the nearest TV station and major newspaper. So yes, Ruston is the Big City.

Beating Ark St a high water mark for LA Tech? Not hardly. I don't think that it was even the high water mark for our season. Go back and look at the crap you guys were talking before that bowl game. We were simply having fun serving up the crow you guys so richly deserved.

Seriously? Ever since that game, we've been inundated with LA Tech fans bragging about how, DESPITE being such terrible a CUSA team as they o bviously were last year, they were able to claw one out at the SuperDome.

Let me ask y'all (Tech fans) this: How many USA fans are over at the MWC boards pounding their chests, proclaiming to be the (defacto) Mountain West Conference champs? That's what I thought. And that's just how PATHETIC you trolling A-wholes from LA Tech really are.

Funny how they include most towns in La. in the Ruston market. App should include Charlotte, Greensboro and Winston Salem and see how the numbers work.

Lol if that's the case, Georgia Southern can include Savannah, Macon, Augusta, Jacksonville, and Charleston/Columbia which would put us in the millions. We'd be P5 status by now. Too bad that's not how it works.

Not to take up for them, but they are 30 miles from Monroe and including Monroe/Bastrop is a little different than adding Charlotte/Greensboro/Winston-Salem. Bastrop is tiny! They are basically just using the Monroe market.

I never considered anything LA Tech before a few posters here stopped by to "put SBC programs in their place", great first impression.

RE: CUSA & Sun Belt merger?
My dream scenario: the Big 12 takes BYU and CSU/Boise for football only (BYU needs a travel partner) and Houston and Cincinnati. The MWC back fills with homeless NMSU and UTEP. What we have now, with UAB back and Coastal in the FBS, is 33 schools in three conferences that basically share the same footprint. Finding homes for homeless UMass and Army and with an FCS call-up like James Madison, that gives us three 12-team, geographically logical conferences. With TV money for G5's decreasing, it would behoove conference commissioners and university presidents to tighten footprints and spend money on revenue sports instead of shipping their water polo team from Storrs, CT to Tulsa, OK. So, I've created three new, tight, conferences:

North Atlantic Conference

UConn
UMass
Army
Temple
Navy
Marshall
ECU
ODU
Appalachian St
Charlotte
James Madison
Coastal Carolina

Sun Beast Conference

USF
Southern Miss
MTSU
WKU
UAB
Georgia Southern
UCF
Troy
FAU
FIU
Ga State
South Alabama

Southwest Conference

Tulsa
La Tech
Memphis
SMU
UL Lafayette
Rice
Tulane
Arkansas St.
Texas St
UTSA
UL Monroe
North Texas

MAP

It'll never happen, but I think it would make a lot more sense, even out the G5 conferences and spread the money around a little more.
